Mindful Tapping For Forgiveness

This practice uses mindful tapping to help us become more forgiving of ourselves and others. How much of our energy is taken up with shame or disgust towards ourselves? This practice is not about absolving ourselves of responsibility for our actions but the recognition that we often make mistakes and how we can clear those patterns or beliefs.

Hi there,

It's Kelly here.

Thank you for joining me today.

I'd like to share with you a mindful tapping meditation today for bringing more forgiveness into your life.

Now that might be something you want to forgive yourself for or perhaps it's for someone else.

But the way we're going to work with this today is we're going to use the active tapping to bring in the energy of forgiveness and then at the end we'll hold a vision of either ourselves receiving that energy or if we need to send it to someone else or even many people you can visualise them all in a group together with forgiveness in their hearts.

So if you'd like to get comfortable you can sit or stand to do this.

And now just place your hands over your heart and take some nice breaths in and out here.

Just sending yourself some love energy.

Allowing it to move from your hands into your heart.

Allowing your heart space to start to soften and open.

Softening and opening to the presence of love.

Notice if you need to relax any part of your body a little bit more and make any necessary adjustment to assist that.

And now take one of your hands up to the very top of your head.

Your crown point and you can just gently start tapping.

Or you can just hold the point and breathe just a slight pressure.

I call on the energy of forgiveness.

Forgiveness.

Take a nice breath in and out.

Gently moving the hand down to the centre of your forehead.

Either tapping or holding.

It's safe for me to be forgiving and forgiven.

Nice breath in and out.

It's my full intention to be forgiving and forgiven.

I invite the energy of forgiveness into my energy system now.

Feel that energy flowing in.

Feel your heart softening and opening.

As you now take just one finger to the corner outside edge of your eyebrow.

The edge nearest to your nose.

And again gently tapping or holding.

I invite the energy of forgiveness and being forgiven into my life.

Into my energy.

I soften to this energy of forgiveness and being forgiven.

Good.

Bringing your finger slowly down to the corner of your eye on the outside edge.

Gently tapping or holding.

I release anything that stops me being forgiving of myself or others.

And it is my full intention to do so now.

Nice breath in and all the way out.

Now bringing your finger down just below the eye on the eye socket bone right in the centre.

Just where your pupil would be in line with your pupil.

I release anything in me that blocks me from forgiving myself or others.

And I ask for the energy of grace breath in and out.

Now coming down to just under your nose above your top lip.

Gently tapping or holding.

Allowing your body to soften and relax.

I forgive myself and anyone else that needs forgiving so that I can transmute any energy that is limiting me or holding me back in any way.

And feel the grace of forgiveness.

Nice breath in and out.

Coming down to your chin right in the middle of the chin.

I embrace this energy of forgiveness into my energy systems.

My emotional body,

My mental body,

My spiritual body and my physical body.

Forgiveness,

Compassion and grace.

Nice breath in and out.

Now using two or three fingers gently tapping the collar bone just so that you are catching the end point.

You have got one either side.

There is a little nodule on the end bit there and that is what you are aiming to vibrate.

I now forgive myself totally and I forgive anyone who needs forgiving from me and I ask for forgiveness from them.

And I hold the energy of forgiveness,

Compassion and understanding.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving down now to your hand tapping on the thumb on the outside edge at the bottom of the nail bed.

I embrace the energy of forgiveness,

Compassion,

Understanding.

I forgive myself and any others.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving on to your first finger,

Same side,

Base of the nail bed,

Outside edge.

More forgiveness,

More compassion,

More love flows through my body now.

Washing over all energy systems.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving to the middle finger,

Base of the nail bed,

Gently tapping with a sense of love.

Love,

Forgiveness,

Compassion and understanding.

Nice breath in and out.

Moving on to your ring finger.

As my heart softens and opens I come into a state of grace and I embody this energy of forgiveness,

Love and compassion.

I let go of anything that is stopping me from having forgiveness.

I let it go.

Onto your little finger.

I let it all go now.

I ask for forgiveness,

Compassion,

Love and understanding.

And now just taking ourselves to the last tapping point which is on the outside edge of the back of the head.

It's like doing a karate chop half way down.

I give myself permission now to have the energy of forgiveness,

Compassion,

Understanding and love.

Nice breath in and out.

Bringing your hands back over your heart.

Now come into that energy state fully,

Allow yourself to be fully present.

Breathe in this beautiful energy that you've created today and then flow it through your energy systems and out through your feet.

If the work we've done today was primarily for yourself,

See a higher aspect of you now standing in front of you and sending you all the love and support and honour that you need.

Take some time to be in this place.

And if it's with others,

Just visualise the higher aspects of yourself and those other people joining now.

Hearts light and full of love.

Thanking each other for the learnings and embracing that beautiful energy of forgiveness,

Compassion and understanding.

Keep breathing in and out.

Allowing more of that energy to flow.

Letting go of that energy to flow.

And now release those higher aspects of yourself and any others that you've worked with today back with love and blessings.

Feel loving thoughts towards yourself.

Thank yourself for being present today.

And then when you're ready,

Gently release your hands down.

Open your eyes and come fully back into your space.

And I hope you have a beautiful day filled with love,

With light and blessings.
