Hello and welcome to your year-end reflection meditation.

Find a quiet comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without distraction.

Light a candle or place an object of significance nearby if you'd like to symbolize the closing of the year.

Have a journal handy for any reflections that arise.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose holding it briefly at the top and then take a deep slow exhale through your mouth.

Feel your body supported by the earth beneath you.

Visualize roots extending from the base of your spine down into the ground beneath you grounding you deeply into the present moment.

As you continue breathing say silently to yourself,

I am here.

I am safe.

I am ready to reflect.

With each breath gently bring your awareness to the year that is ending.

Picture the months like chapters in a book one flowing into the next.

Say to yourself this year is part of my story.

Each moment has brought me lessons growth and wisdom.

Think back to moments of joy accomplishment or connection.

Recall the people events or experiences that brought you gratitude and as these moments come to mind visualize a warm golden light surrounding your heart growing brighter and brighter with each breath.

Whisper softly to yourself I am grateful for all the gifts this year has brought me.

Now turn your attention to the challenges you faced.

Without judgment acknowledge the struggles losses or disappointments.

Visualize these moments as stones you've carried.

See yourself gently placing them down one by one on the earth in front of you.

Say to yourself from challenge comes growth.

I release what no longer serves me and carry forward the wisdom I've gained.

Now begin to reflect on how far you've come,

The obstacles you've overcome,

And the ways you've grown.

Imagine a beam of light shining down upon you filling you with strength and pride.

Say silently or aloud I honor my journey,

I honor my resilience,

I am proud of who I am becoming.

When you feel ready shift your focus to the year ahead.

Visualizing it as a blank canvas waiting for your touch.

Quietly ask yourself what do I want to create?

What do I wish to invite into my life?

Picture these intentions that arise as seeds you plant in fertile soil trusting that they will bloom in their own time.

Take a few more deep breaths feeling a sense of completion and renewal.

Wiggle your fingers and toes returning to the present moment.

When you open your eyes take a moment to journal any thoughts,

Emotions,

Or intentions that arose during the meditation.

You may carry this affirmation forward with you.

I honor the lessons of this year and release what no longer serves me.

I step into the new year with gratitude,

Courage,

And purpose.

Namaste
