Hello and welcome to your Inner Child Healing Meditation.
Take a moment and find a comfortable seat.
Take your palms face down on your thighs.
Relax your shoulders.
Close your eyes.
And allow your body to begin to settle.
Feel your weight upon the earth on which you sit.
Allow a sense of calm to enter your body.
Releasing any tension or tightness you might feel.
Feel as your mind begins to drop into the present moment.
Right here,
Right now.
And then turn your attention to your breath.
Feel as it inflates your chest,
Ribs and belly.
Feel as the breath leaves your body deflating your belly,
Ribs and chest.
Feel yourself expand and contract again and again.
Drop your attention as it follows your breath.
And bring into your mind's eye a picture of your childhood home.
See it from the outside if you can remember what it looks like.
Remember bringing up and feeling what it was like to be near that home.
Picture on the front step you as a small child and next to them the now adult you.
Grab your small child's hand as you prepare to enter the front door.
Walk through the door and begin to explore what's inside.
Can you picture the separate rooms?
Do you remember how you felt in each of those rooms?
And a few moments exploring your childhood home.
As you walk around,
Don't forget to focus on your breath.
Use the breath that flows through you to calm any energy you may feel in your body.
Exhaling deeply,
Exhaling slowly.
Feel your body calm.
As you continue to walk around,
Notice if you see anyone.
Are there other people there?
What are they doing?
Notice how they look.
Notice what they say.
Notice how they behave.
How do you feel?
What would you change?
Take a moment here and visualize it all.
Keep your hand holding your small child's hand.
Soon as you both begin to retrace your steps out of your childhood home.
When you get back to the front door of the house,
Kneel down and hug your small child.
Remind them how safe they are now.
Tell them they are safe.
Tell them they are seen.
That they are accepted.
That they are enough.
That they are loved.
Tell them that they are with you always.
And that they live in a new reality now.
Begin to walk out of your childhood home and walk into your life now.
Into the future you are creating.
Bring your awareness slowly back into the room that you are in.
Feel your body upon the earth.
Hear the sounds around you.
Notice any smells.
The temperature of the air.
Begin your heartbeat.
When you are ready,
Take your time.
Now slowly blink your eyes open and come back.
