Today we're going to do a short kundalini yoga series.
That will help us just release it.
Stress in our body,
Calm our hearts,
And connect with our truest self.
Let's sit nice and tall.
Shoulders relaxed,
Eyes closed.
Just breathing deeply.
Expanding the belly as we inhale.
Contracting as we exhale.
Bring our palms together,
Wrap them together.
Wake up all the meridian points.
Send our body a message that we're going to do something wonderful.
Let your hands rest in prayer pose in front of the heart center.
Just readjust here,
Chin tucked in just a little bit.
We're going to tune in with a mantra.
Aum Nemo Guru Dev Nemo If this is new for you,
Feel free to just hum.
And if you learn it later and come back to this video.
Then chant along with me.
We're going to chant it three times.
Let's take a deep breath in.
AN NAMU Guru Dev Namo.
Om Namo Buddha.
Namo Buddhaya.
Om Namoh Guru Dev Namoh Let's release our hands down to our knees.
Let's begin by rolling the shoulders back.
Great big circles.
All the way back,
All the way down,
All the way forward,
All the way up to your ears.
Our eyes stay closed in Kundalini Yoga.
Releasing the stimulus from the outside world allowing us to focus within.
What's going on inside?
Of your mind,
Of your emotions,
Of your body.
Let's roll forward.
Awesome.
Let's bring your shoulders up to your ears.
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale them down.
Inhaling up.
Exhaling down.
Let's do that a few more times at your own pace.
Really remembering to expand the belly as you inhale up.
Releasing the belly inward as you exhale down.
Brilliant,
Releasing the shoulders down.
Just bring the navel around in a circle.
Inhaling around the front.
Exhaling around the back.
Your eyes are focused at your third eye point.
In between your eyebrows.
Let's go the other direction.
Inhaling around the front,
Exhaling around the back.
Brilliant,
Come to center,
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale,
Relax.
Just rest for a moment.
Awesome.
Let's spread our legs into a V.
Inhaling up.
Exhale down to one side.
Inhaling up.
Exhale down to the other side.
Going at your own pace,
Inhaling center,
Exhaling side.
If the arms are too much.
Just let them rest.
Focus on your torso,
Inhaling center.
Exhaling side.
Allow your breath to move first and then let the movement follow the breath.
On your next inhale,
Inhale to center,
Exhale forward.
Letting your hands rest on your feet.
Your ankles.
Maybe even the floor behind you.
Long,
Deep breaths.
Wonderful,
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale down a little further.
And then gently roll up.
Let's bring our feet together.
Holding on to your feet or your ankles.
Sitting nice and tall.
Balancing your knees.
You can go quickly,
You can go slowly,
You can go high,
You can make it very small.
Whatever is right for you today.
Remember your breath.
Inhaling,
Expanding the belly,
The ribs,
The upper chest.
Exhaling the belly button going in towards the spine.
Awesome.
Let's place our elbows into our calves.
Press your belly button towards your heels.
And with a straight back,
Just gently pushing forward,
Opening the hips.
Long,
Deep breaths.
Brilliant.
Gently release.
Let's come back into cross-legged.
With our hands on our shoulders,
Fingers in front,
Thumbs behind.
Inhale as you twist left.
Exhale,
Right.
Inhale.
You can go slowly.
You can go quickly.
Whatever's right for you.
One of the biggest parts of Kundalini Yoga.
Is to learn to follow our inner guidance.
Modifying when needed.
Going quicker when needed,
Going slower when needed.
We use the mantra Sat Naam.
Sat Truth.
Nom.
My name.
Who I am.
Try inhaling sat as you go left.
Exhaling Nam as you go right.
Brilliant,
Come to center,
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale,
Release your hands onto your knees.
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale,
Round your spine back.
Inhale,
Bring your chest forward.
At your own pace.
Inhaling Sat.
Exhaling now.
Connecting with our inner truth.
This is the core of yoga.
Core of happiness.
As our inner truth.
Is our Divine Self.
Listening to our divine self.
Gives us the little hints.
Along our journey.
How we become truly in alignment.
With who we are.
Sit nice and tall,
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale.
Now imagine a light coming out the crown of your head.
And let's draw a circle.
In the sky.
With that light.
Maybe you make a big circle.
Maybe a small one.
Honoring your body,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Pressing your lower back forward,
Straightening your back.
And remembering to breathe.
Inhaling Sat,
Exhaling Nam.
Let's go the other direction.
Brilliant,
Come to center,
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale.
Let's just sit for a moment in meditation.
Focusing on your breath.
Expanding the belly,
The ribs,
The upper chest as you inhale.
Feeling the navel contract as you exhale.
Ask yourself,
What's one thing you would love more of today?
What's the first thing?
That floats up from your consciousness.
Let's breathe that into every cell.
Wonderful bring our palms together into prayer pose in front of the heart center.
And let's chant one long Sat Nam.
Conclude.
Let's take a deep breath in.
Sat Naam Thank you so much for being here.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Sat Naam
