Allowing yourself to ease into this moment,
Making any little movements that feel good.
Moving your shoulders back and down in circles,
Allowing your head to fall gently to one side and then the other,
Making any little movements that feel good.
As you inhale,
Drawing breath,
Fresh energy into your body.
As you exhale,
Allowing any tension,
Any worries to drip off your body and into the earth beneath you to be renewed.
As you inhale,
Expanding,
And as you exhale,
Letting go,
With each inhale,
Cultivating space and with each exhale,
Relaxing into this moment.
And if your eyes are not yet closed,
I invite you to close them now.
Inhaling once more,
Filling,
Expanding your breath,
Exhaling,
Sinking,
Releasing,
Letting go.
And in this journey together,
I invite you to let go of any expectations,
I invite you to notice any resistance,
And with each exhale,
Allowing them to drip from your body into the earth.
And as you inhale,
Expanding your presence,
And as you exhale,
Allowing that breath to flow with ease,
And maybe with that breath,
You allow yourself to move once more,
Swaying side to side,
Gently,
Like leaves in the air,
Like a tree swaying in the breeze.
As you inhale,
Expanding and reaching out,
And as you exhale,
Going deeper,
Letting go,
Relaxing.
Inhale,
Expanding,
Stretching,
Exhaling,
Letting go,
Releasing.
And in today's practice,
A practice that cultivates strength,
I invite you to imagine that you are a great oak,
Standing in a beautiful,
Luscious,
Green forest,
Surrounded by fresh air,
Woody smells,
And the sky above you is bright and blue,
And as you stand strong in this space,
In this meadow clearing,
You notice how strong and rooted you are,
You notice that your roots are deeply connected with the earth beneath you.
Taking a deep inhale,
And as you exhale,
Allowing your roots to go deeper,
From the base of your spine,
They stretch way below,
Just like the roots of a tree,
Connecting with earth energy,
And from these roots,
You draw up renewed energy.
As you inhale,
Feeling that energy rise up,
And as you exhale,
Allowing anything that you do not need to hold on to,
To be released,
Letting go of any worries,
Letting go of any anxieties,
Letting go of any fear,
Knowing that,
As you do so,
These energies are able to be renewed.
Taking another deep inhale,
And as that energy rises up,
Allowing it to expand,
Stretching out in your mind's eye,
Or within the space that you are in now,
Allowing your hands to stretch out like the branches of a tree,
Moving gently with the wind,
The rustle of your leaves,
Your fingers moving,
And noticing this expression freely moving through your body.
As you inhale,
Drawing up the energy of the earth,
And as you exhale,
Allowing yourself to be so present in this moment,
Witnessing the energies within your body,
Witnessing this deep connection with yourself,
With earth,
With all life,
As you inhale,
Expanding,
Expressing yourself,
And as you exhale,
Allowing yourself to be,
Noticing the freedom within this,
As you claim this space,
And when you're ready,
Coming to a relative stillness,
Noticing that energy flowing up through the base of your spine,
And expanding out through your skin,
Expanding out through your branches and leaves,
This great oak of your being,
And as you move throughout the day and the week ahead,
I invite you to carry this energy,
This expression of strength,
And if at any time you feel disconnected,
Know that you can always root down and let go of any of that stagnant energy,
And in return draw up refreshed and renewed energy of earth,
Of the land,
Through your roots,
And in this space of heightened awareness,
We offer gratitude,
Gratitude to the earth,
Gratitude to the sacred land that we live in,
That we live with,
Taking a deep inhale once more,
Noticing our bodies standing strong,
Starting to make little movements,
Moving our hips side to side,
Moving our bodies,
And as that movement becomes quicker,
I invite you to gently open your eyes.
Thank you.
Have a beautiful day.
Love and blessings.
