This is a meditation to support you in really coming into your body.
It is a grounding meditation.
It is an invitation out of your mind and an invitation to really drop in and settle in.
This can be used especially when you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed or you're feeling disconnected from the reality of what is right here.
So this is your invitation to really be here and present with reality in your life and what's happening in this very moment.
And this meditation can be done laying down,
Seated or even standing to allow your body to actually move and bring forth any energy that actually wants to move through it in the process.
This will actually help the meditation and the energy come into the body versus just the mind.
So taking a moment to orient yourself wherever it is you want to begin whether it is lying down,
Seated,
Standing,
Springing yourself into a comfortable position and closing your eyes.
And right here starting to notice the cadence of your breath.
Notice the rising and falling of your chest.
The up and down of your belly.
Noticing whether you want to stretch out or move your neck or your head or your shoulders to just really drop in and let go of anything that you've been holding throughout the day.
And feeling right now how supported you are by whatever is underneath you.
Bringing awareness to the points of your body that are touching the ground or the bed or the seat.
Feeling how held you are in this moment.
And noticing what actual sensations you are experiencing.
Is it hard?
Is it cold?
Squishy?
Soft?
Warm?
I'm just noticing all those touch points.
What it really feels like on your body to be held even if it's just the bottom of your feet.
Feeling into the fact that you are held at every single moment of the day.
You are being supported by the earth beneath you.
That gravity is actually your best friend.
The pull downward.
The invitation to sink lower.
Maybe it feels heavy when in actuality it's pulling you into the safest space you could be in your body.
Maybe you feel like being really low to the ground right now.
Can you let your body do that?
To drop down,
To sink down,
To feel yourself low.
And to feel that heaviness.
To feel the lowness as simply an invitation to be held deeper.
To be supported more.
To be more present.
More alive with the small things.
Knowing that every time you are down low,
Every time you feel that gravity pulling you to the center of this earth,
That it is strengthening your roots so that you can then simultaneously fly higher.
Knowing that your entire body is the conduit between the earth and the cosmos.
You are the instrument.
The connection piece.
And the more you are rooted down,
The wider and the higher you can go,
The bigger you can open yourself up to be.
So take a deep breath here and allow yourself to actually sink deeper into your body in this moment.
Let the gravity pull you down.
Let the hands of Mother Earth hold you.
And feel your heart begin to open from this space.
Feel that maybe it can open just a little bit wider than what it was a few minutes ago.
Breathing more deeply.
Feeling both how much bigger you can be at the same time as being held so preciously.
It is not one or the other.
But walking this life connected to all things at once.
And when you feel ready,
You can begin to open your eyes,
Bring awareness to your space,
Bring awareness to what it feels like to truly inhabit your body in this moment.
And allow yourself to really bring this feeling into the rest of your day.
