Transcript

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Sitting or laying down,

Letting your body get comfortable,

Seated or lying there,

Letting it melt into the chair,

The seat,

The bed,

And close your eyes.

And as you're there,

Take in a deep breath through the nose,

Filling your lungs and your stomach and your chest all the way up and letting it go out your mouth.

And taking in another deep breath,

I want you to follow that breath with your mind as it goes in your nose,

Through the back of your throat,

All the way down,

Filling up your chest and your stomach.

You hold it and let it go and follow it back out with your mind.

And again breathing in through the nose,

Following the breath down,

Filling your body,

Filling your soul and let it out.

Now let yourself breathe normally and just tune in.

Tune into that breath.

Tune into how your body feels at this moment.

Is it tight?

And just consciously let yourself relax.

Let yourself be right here and right now.

Now we're going to go back,

Back in time to when you were a little boy or a girl.

So as you let yourself relax,

I want you to bring an image of yourself at around five or six,

Maybe it's three,

Whatever childhood image comes to mind of you.

You're standing alone.

The little you is standing there with nothing around.

And you're sad.

And you're watching from a distance,

You're watching the little you.

Standing there feeling whatever you're feeling.

And I want you to let that feeling come into your body right now.

What is the younger you feeling in that moment?

Are you scared?

Lost?

Lonely?

Abandoned?

Misunderstood?

Forgotten?

And maybe this is a real moment in time in your life.

A memory that's coming back.

A memory that's coming back clearly that you remember experiencing one of these things.

Take some breaths and connect.

Connect to that moment.

That moment of pain.

Let yourself feel it.

And if there are other characters who come in,

Let them come in.

Let them be a part of the story of this memory.

Let the surroundings start to fill.

Let them fill in the picture.

Let them fill in the details.

And be in that moment,

What's happening?

What's happening to you?

How do you feel?

How are you responding?

You're watching that little boy or little girl and you're feeling everything.

Now as you let this memory play out,

And if it's not a memory,

Let it be its own experience.

Don't judge yourself.

Don't try.

Just let it be whatever it is.

And in this experience,

You as your adult self shows up.

No one can see you except the little version of you.

You enter the room or the space and the little you looks up.

What do you see in their eyes?

In your eyes?

Is it fear?

Anxiety?

And when they connect with your eyes,

What do they feel?

What do you feel?

You are coming in as their angel in this moment.

As their protector.

And when you walk up to you,

And depending on how the little you reacts,

Maybe they're excited,

Maybe they're reaching for you,

Maybe they see you and go,

I'm safe.

Or maybe they're unsure.

If they're unsure,

And maybe don't trust you,

This is your opportunity to tell them that you're here.

And even if they do,

Even if they look at you so grateful,

You tell them why you're here.

You tell them all the amazing things that you are as an adult.

You tell them all the work that you've done,

All the lessons that you've learned.

You tell them how big your heart is.

You tell them what it means to be you.

And in that process,

You see their heart soften.

You see the energy and feel the energy of that pain,

Of that scaredness,

Of that anxiety start to dissipate.

But you can tell there's something they're still holding on to because whatever was happening in that moment is big.

And they feel it.

So once they trust you,

That you are there for them,

That you are their protector,

That you are okay,

I want you to tell them what they need to hear in that moment.

What is it that they needed to hear,

That you needed to hear?

And as you connect and share,

I want you to extend your hand to the childhood you.

I want you to tell you that you've got you,

That you're here.

And I want you to pull the little version of you in close.

Hold him and her or her tight.

Feel them close to your heart.

And as you hold them,

Know that you've got them.

And let them know that you are always here.

That anytime they're scared,

Angry,

They don't feel enough,

Hard on themselves,

That you're here to remind them how amazing they are.

How for whatever they did or didn't do,

They didn't know better,

They're a kid,

But that you as the adult,

You know.

They can trust you.

You're here to protect them.

And I want you to right now wrap your arms around yourself.

And I want you to acknowledge yourself right now for the man or the woman that you are.

For the love that you have to give in this world.

For the difference you're here to make.

Because there is no one like you on this planet.

There is no one with your gifts.

You are unique.

You are precious.

You are special.

And it is you and only you that can carry out what it is you're here to do.

It is only you who can have the effect on people that you do,

That can change the lives that you do,

That can give your heart in the way that you do,

That can make people smile and feel loved in the way that you do.

It is only you.

And it is up to you to remind yourself that.

To use your gifts every single day to spread love in this world.

To connect,

To let people in.

Because it's only you.

So taking a deep breath in through your nose,

Breathing in your own essence,

Your own acknowledgement,

Your own love and light,

Letting it in,

Fill you up.

Knowing you are safe,

You are held.

And let it go.

Let it go into the world that is your light spreading beyond your body.

It is your light spreading across the earth,

Across the air,

Across the ocean.

It is your light.

So open your eyes.

And remember that only you can do what you're here to do.

And you are safe.
