Three Part Breath For Anxiety And Stress Relief
by Katie Dunn
This guided breathwork practice explores the three-part breath to calm anxiety and relieve stress. When we're anxious or activated, we tend to breathe faster and more shallowly - which can make us feel even more activated! By slowing the breath down and engaging the full capacity of the lungs, we can shift out of a state of activation and toward a state of safety and calm. We'll breathe purposefully into the belly, ribs, and chest in sequence, expanding awareness and supporting emotional regulation. This practice helps shift the nervous system from fight or flight into rest and digest, helping to restore a sense of balance and ease. This track is suitable for all listeners, including beginners. There is no music, background sound, or bell to signal the end of practice.
