Today's meditation will be on our fourth chakra,
The heart or anahata.
To get prepared for this meditation,
Allow yourself to be seated or lying down,
Letting the spine be straight,
The chest open,
And the eyes can now close.
Notice your breath,
Notice any sensations or tension in the body.
Be aware of the thoughts floating throughout the mind,
And start to bring all your awareness in to here and now.
I invite you to bring both hands to the heart center,
To make contact and to hear and feel the beating of the heart within.
On your next inhale,
Breathe deep into the belly,
Feeling prana expand as it goes up the chest,
Passes through the heart.
As at the top of your breath,
And then as you exhale,
Let the body soften,
Maintaining a connection with your heart.
Again,
Breathe in,
Fill up the belly.
As you exhale,
Release any thoughts,
Worries,
Fears,
Or judgments,
And come home to this moment,
To the body.
Now let the breath come back to a nice,
Normal ebb and flow,
Again bringing all your awareness to the heart.
Notice right away if there's any thoughts or messages that come from making contact with the place of all your wisdom and unconditional love.
And just notice if the heart has a message for you here and now.
Start to visualize the color green,
Or perhaps a light pink or gold emanating from the heart center.
Feel this energy spreading throughout this part of the body,
Bringing life and vitality to this chakra.
And start to affirm that I am open to giving and receiving love.
I trust in my heart's greatest desires.
I am learning how to love myself deeply.
I am learning how to listen to the wisdom of the heart.
I am thankful for all the heartbreaks and life's challenges that have come up,
That have allowed me to grow stronger.
And I invite in now a healing,
Where I can release the walls that I may have built up to protect myself.
I release any bitterness or toxic energy that lives in the heart from past hurts.
I let that go.
And I breathe a new life into this heart.
Where the walls now fall down,
I breathe an expansion,
Compassion,
A unity with Mother Nature and all that inhabit her.
I invite in connection,
Authentic raw connection with others.
And again,
I breathe into self-love.
I breathe into learning how to love myself so deeply that this bond will never be broken.
I breathe into self-love so deeply that the external world has no other choice but to reflect it back to me.
I breathe in self-love so deeply that I inspire others to love themselves.
Feel the energy that beats within this heart.
Feel its wisdom and its ability to be unconditional with you at all times.
And start to think of a memory of a time you felt so deeply in love.
A time where no matter what this person did or said,
You knew you would love them anyway.
And perhaps this wasn't a person,
It was an animal.
But think of any memory,
Person,
Thing,
Or being that sparks that memory of true,
Deep,
Unconditional love,
No matter how long it lasted.
And allow that feeling to fill your entire being right here and now,
As if it were happening all over again.
As you feel this memory coming to life,
Notice what love feels like.
Notice the pure,
Potent,
Beautiful energy that it carries and allow it to nourish your being.
Trust in this motion.
Trust that this love can never be taken away from you,
No matter what happens in the external.
And encourage you to vow to yourself that you'll continue to bring this love that you once felt back to self over and over again.
Allow the breath to slow down and start to close this chakra down,
Knowing all the vitality and nourishment and love that you just generated will stay here and will strengthen every single day.
I invite you to love yourself so deeply,
Today and every day going forward,
And to share this love with the world unafraid.
