Hello and happy today.
My name is Kate Mansour and I am pleased to welcome you to my Slow Down and Enjoy Your Life guided visualization meditation.
This meditation experience will help you to open up into the depth of your life in the present moment to slow down and revel in the wonderful experience of being alive.
Get started in a comfortable position for you.
Maybe you're lying down in a Shavasana like pose.
Maybe you're sitting on a chair or in the Lotus position on the ground.
Any position at all.
Wherever you are,
Just begin to focus on your breath.
In and slowly exhaling out like a circle that comes in and then slowly exhaling out.
You can imagine all of your energy within you,
Any anxiety,
Worry,
Desire to rush.
All of it settles like snowflakes in a snow globe that's just been shaken.
Finding a sense of grounding and relaxation.
To prepare for the visualization,
You clear a space in your mind's eye like a movie screen on the inside of your forehead.
Picture that blank screen focusing on it.
And soon an image flickers up.
A peaceful flowing stream.
You gaze at that water sparkling in the sun with ripples of current.
The stream flows slowly and tranquilly past cattails and small greenery.
Such a relaxed flowing pace.
It's as if the river has nowhere to go.
Nothing to do.
Just cultivates peace with every breath.
You become aware of yourself sitting in a distant riverbank gazing at the stream.
Noticing the rustle of those cattails and brush.
Hearing the lap of the water,
Small trickles.
It looks so clear,
So inviting.
And soon out of the corner of your eye,
You notice a lily pad flowing on that river across your field of vision.
You gaze at it.
It looks such a beautiful verdant color of green.
You squint a little as you gaze at it and it seems to look like velvet.
So perfectly round.
Bobbing along at that same slow relaxed pace of the stream.
Past those same cattails and small greenery.
And as you gaze at that lily pad,
Bobbing along with one breath in.
On the exhale you find yourself lying on that lily pad.
Perhaps you have your head crooked in your elbow.
Or maybe you lie on your back with the face to the sky.
Letting that warm sun shine down on you.
You float along on that river,
That stream.
Feeling the current under your back.
Maybe you have one finger trailing next to you in that cool water.
Wherever you are with your body,
On that lily pad,
On that river,
You feel completely at peace.
You inhale and exhale relief far and away from the troubles of the world.
Far and away from the stresses of your life.
You can finally let go.
And truly be here now.
And on that stream bobbing along,
You allow yourself to float away.
Letting that warm sun shine down on you.
Letting that warm sun shine down on you.
Letting that warm sun shine down on you.
Holding on to this peaceful feeling.
In this special place in nature.
You take one last look at the scene in your mind's eye.
And as we come back to the present moment of you,
The meditator,
The visualizer,
The human,
The soul,
You take one hand and place it on your heart.
And take the other and place it on your belly.
And we breathe.
Inhaling.
We feel the chest rise,
The lungs filling with air.
You feel the warmth of your chest on your hand.
Maybe you can even make out the faint beat of your heartbeat.
These are your outward symbols of your aliveness.
Your heartbeats,
Your lungs help you breathe.
Your blood cycles through your body.
And you are alive.
This is your life.
It's happening every moment.
And any peace that you felt in today's meditation,
Any moment of peace that you felt on today's lily pad,
That peace lives within you.
And when the world gets crazy and things just feel like they get to be too much,
You can always come back to that lily pad.
You can always come back to that special place inside of you because that peace lives within you.
We have many moments in every day,
But in each moment is a world of experience.
Depth like.
Unimaginable.
The kaleidoscope of existence.
If we just slow down to enjoy it,
You control the pace of your life and you have peace that lives within you.
Allow a small smile to come to your face.
Allow feelings of wellbeing to wash through you and know that you can go back to that lily pad anytime,
Any day that you need a little bit of peace.
Enjoy the rest of your day today or tonight.
And thank you for joining me on today.
Slow down and enjoy your life.
Meditation.
Come back to this lily pad when you're stuck in traffic,
When you're frustrated and you just need to tap back into that wonder well of peace that lives within you.
Thank you.
