Welcome to Healing After Loss for Mothers.
Let this be a prayer of love and sacred remembrance.
This is a space for the ache,
The soft ache,
The sharp ache,
The quiet ache you've carried in silence through days when the world kept moving and nights when only your heartbeat whispered that something had changed.
This is not a place for fixing.
It is a space to be with what is,
To let your heart speak.
Breathe with me.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly,
Holding yourself as your breath becomes slow,
Letting your body soften into this moment because you are not alone and you have never been alone.
To the soul you carried,
The one who fluttered through your being,
Say to them,
Thank you.
Thank you for choosing me.
Thank you for brushing my life with your light.
Thank you for teaching me how deep love can go.
To the grief that lives in your womb,
Tell it you are welcome here.
Tell it it is not wrong or too much,
For it is the proof that you have loved.
Breathe here and let the tears come if they need to.
They are holy water.
There may be questions that go unanswered.
There may be guilt that tries to stay.
There may be love that has nowhere to land.
But in this moment,
We make room for all of it.
So say it with me.
I forgive what cannot be explained.
I bless the life that visited mine.
I release the shame I do not need to carry.
I trust what my heart cannot yet understand.
You do not need to rush your healing.
And you do not need to close the door of grief today.
Now bring your hands to your womb space.
This sacred place of life,
Of love,
Of remembrance.
This space still holds your devotion,
Your longing,
And your prayers.
So speak gently to this part of you and say you are not broken.
You are not a mistake.
You are sacred ground,
Soft and strong,
And you are still a home.
Let that truth enter your heart,
Your womb.
Breathe it in.
Let your womb feel the warmth of this blessing and allow her to soften and release.
And now,
If you wish,
You may imagine the soul,
The one who left too soon,
Standing before you now,
Or maybe they are in your arms.
Just presence,
Just love.
Let them speak to you,
Or you may speak to them.
Or simply let this moment be.
And then when you're ready,
You may say,
Thank you for coming through.
However briefly you changed me,
I will carry your light and your life with me always.
As we begin to close this sacred space,
Bring your hands back to your heart.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Let yourself feel the soft knowing that you have been brave,
That your love has been seen,
That your grief is sacred.
Repeat softly like a prayer.
I am whole even in my sorrow.
I am love even in this loss.
I am healing even when it doesn't always feel good.
Take one last deep breath in,
Filling up through the belly and the chest,
Filling the lungs,
And then release with a sigh.
May your womb be at peace.
May your heart feel less alone.
May you remember what you carry is sacred.
Not just the pain,
But the love.
Let that be your offering.
Let that be your peace.
