I will guide you to focus on the present moment, let go of worries about the past and anxieties about the future, and then relax your mind and body for a powerfully deep night’s sleep.

Hello and welcome to a meditation for letting go of racing thoughts,

Overthinking,

And an overactive mind.

This meditation invites you to heal,

Find rest,

And have a deep sleep tonight.

As you lay down and get comfortable in your bed,

Allow yourself to release any tension that your body is holding right now.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs with fresh air,

And then slowly exhale through your mouth.

As you exhale,

Let go of any stress,

Anxiety,

Or worries that you might be carrying from your day.

Breathing in through your nose and exhaling,

Allow the breath to go deeper and deeper,

Allow your body to expand,

Inviting the air as you breathe in and releasing as you exhale.

As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,

Bring your attention to your thoughts.

Notice if your mind is racing with thoughts about the past or the future.

Maybe you're replaying a conversation in your mind,

Or worrying about something that hasn't happened yet.

Whatever thoughts come to mind now,

Acknowledge them without judgment,

And then let them go.

The past is behind you.

The future is not yet here.

The moment that matters is the present moment.

You have the power to choose what you focus on right now.

So for this meditation time together,

Let's focus on the present moment,

And let go of the thoughts that are not serving you right now.

Bringing your attention to your breath,

Focus on the inhale and the exhale,

And nothing else.

Notice the way the air flows in and out of your body,

The coolness of the inhale,

And the warmth of the exhale.

Allow your breath to guide you into a state of relaxation.

As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,

Imagine yourself in a peaceful place,

Somewhere that makes you feel calm and relaxed.

It could be a beach,

A forest,

Or a quiet room in your home.

Allow yourself to fully immerse in this peaceful place,

Taking in the sights,

The sounds,

And the smells.

Imagine the gentle waves of the ocean,

The rustling leaves of the trees,

Or if you're in a room in your home,

Perhaps it's the soft hum of the air conditioner.

Let these sounds lull you into a state of deep relaxation.

Now,

Let's focus on letting go of the overthinking,

The overactive mind.

When you're ready,

Visualize a balloon in your mind,

And imagine all of your worries,

Anxieties,

And stresses being placed inside.

Release the balloon,

And watch it float away into the sky until it disappears from view.

Let go,

Let go,

Let go of these feelings,

And release them into the universe.

Bring your attention back to your breath,

And allow yourself to relax more and more deeply,

With each exhale.

Feel your body sinking into the bed,

Becoming heavy and relaxed,

Fully supported.

Let your thoughts drift away,

And simply focus on this moment,

On the present moment.

As you relax,

You can repeat this affirmation silently to yourself.

I release the past,

I let go of the future,

And I embrace the present moment.

Allow the words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind.

I release the past,

I let go of the future,

And I embrace the present moment.

Visualize a warm,

Soothing light surrounding you,

Filling you with calm and peaceful energy.

Allow this light to flow through your body,

Relaxing each muscle,

And releasing any remaining tension.

You can feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into this relaxation,

Knowing that you will enjoy a restful,

Healing,

And deep sleep tonight.

Imagine yourself floating on a cloud,

Weightless and free.

You are safe,

You are comfortable,

And you are protected.

You are surrounded by a warm,

Loving energy that is here to support you and guide you into a peaceful sleep tonight.

Take another deep breath,

And exhale slowly.

Allow yourself to drift off to sleep,

Knowing that you will wake up feeling refreshed,

Rejuvenated,

And ready to take on the day.

Right now,

You are relaxed and inviting deep sleep in the present moment.

Sweet dreams tonight.
