Get comfortable in the space that you have available for this meditation.
Perhaps you are sitting in a comfortable chair,
Laying down on a bed,
Sitting outside or even in your car on a break at work.
Close your eyes and become aware of your breathing.
Consciously begin to slow your breathing,
Deepening your inhalations and concentrating on pushing out every bit of air you can as you exhale.
Breathe in to the count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And then release for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Now,
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your awareness to your feet.
Feel your feet as they rest.
Allow your feet to feel heavy in your mind.
Tell your feet to relax.
Notice how all the muscles in your feet seem to soften as you suggest this.
Bring your attention up to your legs.
Feel your legs under you,
Supporting you in the place you are in.
Allow your legs to become heavy.
Allow your legs to relax and soften.
Tell yourself,
My legs are relaxed.
Move your attention up to your hips,
Your torso,
Your chest and your shoulders.
Tell all your muscles to lengthen and relax.
Feel the tension in those places melt away.
Now move your attention to your fingers and your hands.
Gently wiggle your fingers.
Now feel them become heavier as they seem to melt.
Let all the tension in your hand drain out.
Feel your fingers and your hands softening.
Bring your attention to your neck.
Tell all the tension in your neck to melt away.
Feel your neck muscles relax and soften.
Breathing in.
Holding.
And releasing.
In this relaxed space,
Imagine returning to the beginning of your life.
A time when you accepted yourself fully and without a question lived in the great I am.
Then over time you took on doubts and judgments of yourself that felt real.
And true,
But were only false beliefs of others.
Allow yourself to feel the truth of your perfection.
You are perfect as you are.
There is nothing that should change.
And even if you tried,
The authentic you is always waiting underneath.
Feel the life force of your authenticity.
Be amazed by yourself.
Give yourself love.
You are love.
A whole human being connected and important to the web of life.
Can you feel your heart space become warmer?
