Welcome to this week's meditation.
We're gonna focus on reflection and intention setting as we approach the end of the year and look forward to the possibilities of the new one.
Finding a comfortable position where we can sit,
Close our eyes,
And start to bring awareness to the present moment.
Saddling in,
We're gonna take a nice deep breath in,
Repeating to ourselves,
There is nothing to do,
And open the mouth,
Exhale,
Repeating to yourself,
There is nowhere to be.
Another really deep breath in,
Feeling your breath fill your entire belly,
Pulling your breath up into your heart space.
And nice and slow,
Exhaling out through the mouth or the nose,
Whatever feels natural.
Now bringing our awareness to the present moment,
Right here,
Right now.
And as we inhale,
We're gonna feel the sensation of our breath,
The gentle rise and fall of your chest and your abdomen.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale slowly,
Letting go of any tension or worries,
Letting them naturally melt away with each exhale.
As we shift on the rest of the year and we start to reflect and focus on it,
Consider how you've been showing up in your life so far this year.
What emotions have you been carrying?
What thoughts have occupied your mind?
Remember,
This is not a place for judgment,
We are truly just observing.
Deep breaths in through the nose,
And nice and slow,
Controlled exhales out the nose.
Now,
Shift your focus to how you want to show up in the remaining weeks of this year.
Imagine the best,
Most authentic,
Truest version of yourself.
What qualities does that version embody?
Is it calm,
Compassionate,
Resilient?
Present?
Take a moment to visualize this ideal version of yourself moving through the upcoming days with grace and with purpose.
Deep breaths in and out through the nose.
Now,
As the holiday season approaches,
It's essential to set boundaries to protect your well-being.
Envision a bubble of light surrounding you,
Creating a safe space.
This boundary is not a wall,
It's a filter that allows love and joy to enter while filtering out any stress and negativity.
Notice how this boundary looks.
Is there a color?
Is it stagnant?
Is it moving?
What does your boundary look like?
Now,
Letting go of all of that,
Remembering there's always time to spend more time in reflection after these meditations to journal anything that comes up.
Now,
We're gonna think about the activities that nurture your soul and bring you joy during the holidays.
Consider which gatherings and events align with your values and your priorities.
As you breathe in,
Visualize drawing in positivity and warmth,
Raising your vibration,
Raising the positive energy all around you.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension or pressure to conform to expectations that just don't serve you anymore.
Taking deep breaths in and out through the nose.
Now,
Setting your intention for the rest of the day.
How do you wanna show up for the rest of the day?
And how do you wanna show up for the rest of the year?
Taking time to spend here with no judgment,
Just observation.
And when you're ready,
A slight bow of the head,
Honoring yourself for showing up for these moments of self-care and reflection to make sure that we realign ourselves and prepare for the next coming months.
In the next few weeks,
We're gonna shift and start to focus on how we wanna show up in the beginning of 2024,
How we wanna reflect,
What goals and milestones we wanna set,
Maybe even focusing on some new habits and things that will build a better future.
So we are more than welcome to spend time this week and just kind of trying to gather that and what that might look like to be prepared.
But for right now,
We're gonna focus on how we are showing up,
How we want to show up for the rest of the season,
And protecting boundaries and protecting ourself through the holidays to make sure that we stay nice and calm and stay negative and busy and anxious.
