Find a comfortable position,

Whatever that means to you.

Since we just woke up,

I invite you to simply lie back down in your bed,

Covering your body with your covers,

And just mentally repeat,

I will not sleep.

I am consciously creating my day with awareness and excitement for all that will work in my favor today.

With that intention in place,

Allow your eyes to gently close.

Begin to awaken the feeling of gratitude.

Even when we are facing challenges in our life,

We can always reach for a thought of gratitude,

Even if it is simply being grateful for the gift of your breath,

Or being grateful for the fact that you woke up this morning and have a whole day ahead of you that you can create any way you want it to look.

Mentally make a list of all that you have to be grateful for,

Then allow your breath to center you in the present moment.

Of course,

The mind is designed to think.

It will attempt to draw you away from your practice,

But just for today,

Each time you notice that you have drifted off into thinking,

Kindly remind yourself,

Whoops,

Thinking,

And come back to the wave-like motion of your breath,

Inviting your breath to move in and out of your body,

Like the waves lapping at the beach.

As we inhale,

Sense the breath filling up your belly,

Then your ribs,

Then your chest,

And sense how you can pour the breath out from the chest,

Then your ribs,

Then the belly,

Squeezing out every last drop of air from the belly,

Creating even more space for your next inhalation,

Total awareness on the breath filling you up and then emptying you out.

So begin to imagine what your day is going to look like.

Begin with your routine of getting ready.

Do you think it's possible,

As you shower,

To be fully present in the moment?

Most of the time,

When we shower,

Our thoughts ping-pong all around.

We may think about yesterday,

Things that happened,

Conversations we had,

Then we jump into the future,

Worrying about having to talk to the boss or a difficult client.

Think about how many times throughout your day you are not in the present moment.

This is not another way for us to judge ourselves,

But simply become aware.

How many times have you been driving and then all of the sudden you have reached your destination but have no recollection of how you got there?

You are not living in the present moment during that drive.

For many of us,

This is how we live our whole life,

In this sleep-like state where we miss all of the beautiful and powerful things that are happening right here,

Right now,

In the present moment.

And the present moment is where our power lies.

The art of allowing says the most important job we have is to tend to our thoughts and emotions.

If we think about how we want our day to look and we imagine how it would feel to have life happen for us instead of to us,

But we don't tend to our thoughts and emotions,

Then we will not become the powerful magnet required to pull our dreams into reality.

By consciously choosing throughout your day to come back over and over again to the present moment,

You will step back into your power and be able to shift things when they start to run off track.

I'm sure we have all experienced a time when we were feeling really great,

Like when we fell in love.

It felt as if everything we touched turned to gold,

Like we could do nothing wrong,

And it was like a snowball building bigger and bigger.

That is living in the flow.

At that moment,

On that day,

You were fully connected and creating your reality simply by the frequency you were sending out into the world.

The thoughts send the frequency out,

And the positive emotions act like a magnet,

Drawing the thought back to us,

Creating our reality just as we imagined it,

Or sometimes even better than we ever dreamed.

And even if this seems a little out there for you,

Can you at least become curious?

Are you willing to try it just for today and see what happens?

It does take practice,

But this is something that we can all do.

So take the next three minutes to run through your entire day today,

And create it to work in your favor.

Now that you have a blueprint for your day,

Challenge yourself to notice throughout your day,

Each time your thoughts wander into negative thoughts of the past,

Or worrying about the future.

Without judgment,

Practice coming back to the present moment,

Slow down your breath,

And change those thoughts to thoughts that feel better.

The quickest and easiest way to shift your energy is to practice gratitude.

Now take a quick scan of your body,

Starting at the top of your head and scanning all the way down to your feet,

Noticing if there are any areas of tightness,

Tension,

Or negative thoughts hiding out within.

No judgment,

Simple awareness.

Again let's use our breath like a cleansing tool.

As you inhale through your nose,

Gather anything that no longer serves you,

And as you exhale through your mouth,

Let it all go.

Two more times,

Inhaling gather,

And exhaling releasing.

Inhaling gather,

And exhale let it all go.

Gently let the mouth close,

And begin to breathe in and out through your nose once more.

When you're ready,

Begin to draw the breath in a little bit deeper,

And press the breath out a little bit longer,

Returning your awareness to the space around your body,

And begin to reawaken your body,

Wiggling fingers and toes,

Rolling the wrists and ankles,

And maybe taking a big stretch,

Reaching the hands away from the feet,

As if you're greeting your day for the very first time with a whole new perspective.

Then imagine the room around you,

And when you're ready,

Slowly blink the eyes open with a smile,

Wishing you a great day,

Just the way you designed it.

Until next time,

Thank you for joining me in this meditation to consciously create your day.

With love,

Kalyani
