This is Justin Michael Williams and welcome to your practice.
This practice is all about helping you find your purpose.
And what I want you to remember before we begin is that your purpose is not a job title.
I'm going to say that again.
Your purpose is not a job title.
Your job is just a medium through which you express purpose.
And there are going to be many mediums through which you express purpose in your life.
So what I want you to do for this practice is stop trying to find some catchy one-liner to perfectly package your purpose up in this neat little package so you can present it to the world.
This practice is deeper than that.
What I want you to remember is that your purpose is not what you do.
It's why you do it.
And when we have this definition,
It makes living with purpose a moment to moment practice.
The best way that we can attune into finding our purpose is to ask the question that's going to be our mantra for this practice.
How can I serve?
If you're ready to begin,
I invite you to close your eyes,
Place both your hands over your heart,
And let's drop in together.
Start by taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
One more deep breath in and a deep breath out.
I want you to think of an area of your life where you're trying to find greater meaning or purpose.
It can be anywhere.
It can be your relationship or your job or your passion project or any aspect of your life that you're trying to find a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.
And bring that area of your life into focus right now.
Remember,
You can do this many times for many different purposes in your life,
But for now,
Just pick one.
Take a deep breath in with that and a deep breath out.
How can I serve?
How can I serve?
How can I use my gifts and my talents and my skills and everything I love to make a positive impact on everyone and everything around me?
And in this situation,
How can I serve?
And just listen.
Just listen.
And if your mind has started to wander,
I want you to come back to this question,
This mantra,
This inquiry asking,
How can I serve?
And see if you can ask it from your heart and really stick with it and go deeper and see what arises.
Go beyond the surface and see what you can find.
How can I serve?
How can I serve?
How can I serve?
This is your pathway to your purpose.
And even if you didn't get some big magical answer to answer all of your questions,
I want you to take whatever you did get from this practice and pin it because little by little,
Step by step,
These answers take us toward our purpose.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And if you're ready,
Open your eyes.
It is a great honor to practice with you today.
I send you love,
Purpose,
And the biggest blessings.
Namaste.
