Hello,
This is Contessa with Just Healing.
And today I will be guiding you through a visualization of a peaceful place.
This can be a place in nature.
It can be real or imagined.
It can be a memory or a place that you've only dreamed of going.
And once we're there,
We'll do some grounding.
And you'll leave this visualization feeling a little bit more at peace,
A little bit more grounded and centered,
And hopefully more relaxed.
Once you think of the place you'd like to visit,
Settle in.
Begin taking deeper breaths.
Relax your body.
Close your eyes if that feels good to you.
And then begin bringing this place into focus in your mind.
Start to look around.
Look right and left,
Up and down,
Maybe even spinning 360.
Taking in all that there is to see,
All of the colors,
The vibrancy,
The texture of individual objects that you find in your space.
Good.
Good.
Continuing to breathe.
Turn your attention to what it sounds like in this place.
All that it is that you can hear.
Maybe you've chosen a place that's filled with noise.
Or maybe the place you've chosen is quiet,
And there really aren't too many sounds to listen to.
That's okay.
Now beginning to notice what smells are in this place.
Maybe you're outdoors and it smells fresh.
Maybe there's been a fresh rain.
Any other number of nature smells.
The smells of grass or wildflowers,
Mud.
What does this peaceful place smell like?
Finally,
Begin to notice what sensations are in this place,
Meaning what can you feel on your skin?
The temperature here,
The moisture,
The textures of anything your fingers can touch.
Is the ground beneath you firm or soft?
Giving yourself permission to move around,
Letting your fingers or your feet explore the sensations here.
Moment by moment,
This place becoming more and more vivid in your mind.
By now,
Spending this time here in your peaceful place,
Let's begin to change your emotional landscape.
How do you feel being here in this place?
Are you calm?
Are you relaxed?
Maybe there's even joy,
Love,
Excitement.
Whatever emotions are being noticed by you,
They're okay.
Begin to locate them in your body.
What sensations are they producing?
Breathe into them.
There's no rush to leave this peaceful place,
But our time together is nearing a close.
You can begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe give yourself a hug.
Gently open your eyes.
Looking around the room,
Reorienting yourself to here and now.
Thank you for taking time to walk through this guided meditation with me today.
Please know that you can come back to this peaceful place anytime you need a little minutes-long vacation.
The more often that you do,
The stronger this visualization will become.
The more useful a tool it will be for you to give yourself moments of peace in your day.
Thank you.
I wish you well.
Peace.
