Our practice is our opportunity to connect into our deep ground of body wisdom to connect us to a wider harmony. Beginning with a gathering inwards. We need at this moment an inner commitment or invitation to create a space that attunes to the song of our inner world. Here – beyond our doing and any kind of technique, beyond words. We might land into a deeper quality of listening. To discover this wider listening or wider calm abiding always behind welcoming us to rest in.

So welcome to a space for your arriving home,

For your listening in meditation space.

I recommend you find a place where you can lie down and have support underneath your knees,

Have support underneath the lower legs to the feet.

Be comfortable pausing the recording now so that you can find your place to rest.

Lying down,

Maybe a soft pillow underneath your head and noticing first the possibility of allowing everything that's here as you land through your back body into the earth.

The earth gathering deep and wide underneath to support.

Everything allowed,

Everything welcome,

Just noticing how that is to play with.

Welcome,

Allowing,

Meeting what's present for us,

Not by going to look for it,

But by allowing a resting back into the earth for everything that's present simply to be here.

What about if sensations of buzz,

Pulling and pushing of thoughts,

Emotion,

That's what we're here for.

That's what this moment,

This space that we call meditation is here for.

To allow,

To get to know a friendliness,

A friendliness inside ourselves that's already here.

Maybe it comes from deep in your belly.

Maybe we could rest for a while in the soft folds of the belly,

The falling away of your breath,

Of your out-breath in the belly.

While still somehow the whole of our radiant being is still in our awareness with this gentle resting into the soft folds of our belly and how the out-breath,

Noticing the quality when it comes to you,

Giving it all the time and space it needs,

The out-breath as there's some tiny leaf hidden in the shelter of some wide oak tree.

As we allow our feet to be in touch with the earth,

To allow our body to feel the earth and feel the presence of this steady oak tree.

Something in our awareness may widening open to receive the presence of this tiny leaf under the shade sprouting from the ground.

Bright,

Alive,

Radiant,

Sheltered by the support of this steady still oak tree and a wide blue sky that sings with the rich depth underneath earth.

Our feet,

Our body,

Knowing its place on earth.

And whilst you play,

Receive these words,

Perhaps too you could invite a soft aliveness in the legs all the way down through your knees,

Your lower legs and into the soft folds of your feet as though a breath can finally flow through there where it's always home.

Reclaiming,

Remembering its fullness just like this tiny leaf,

Its roots streaming with aliveness,

With life deep and wide in the earth,

Burrowing,

Spiraling,

Reaching where they are made for.

Roots made for.

Legs,

Feet made for their dialogue,

For their routing with earth.

And that breath in the soft folds of deep belly,

Perhaps quiet,

Small,

Perhaps deep,

Wide.

No right and no wrong that you're no longer doing.

It breathes you.

Subtle,

But powerful,

A subtle streaming as though spiraling wisps of light,

Liquid,

Soft,

Unraveling from deep belly breath,

Reaching wide,

Reaching way back and down,

Reaching in all directions in a rhythm we don't know and we don't do.

Connecting to the stream of life,

The wide web of life,

Breathing you.

Deep belly out breath for a while and maybe if still any kind of buzz,

Pulling and pushing,

Thinking,

Emotion,

All welcome.

Nothing wrong,

Nothing bad.

Where we've been trained to believe that strong emotion,

Thinking,

Discomfort,

Pain is bad.

What about if it's whole,

It's a part of aliveness and this wide,

Still,

Rooted oak tree,

It's steadiness,

Reflecting back,

The unconditional love,

Acceptance,

Nothing wrong.

Your body resting on earth,

Feeling this steady,

Still wisdom.

Your cells already know the friendliness,

The loving kindness,

The heart of your being already knows this welcome.

We may just have lost our way for a while,

Protected ourselves and for today it's enough to just be under this oak,

Feeling the web of life,

Breathing you through deep belly.

Every day this is enough,

Every moment this is whole,

Already here,

Already enough,

Already whole.

May all beings be peace,

May all beings feel the love they are,

May all beings be joy.
