A visualization of a waterfall to release unwanted beliefs and ideas.
When you're in a comfortable position,
Just begin by closing your eyes.
And begin by turning your attention deeply inwards and becoming very aware of your breath.
And allowing yourself to simply experience your breath as it is without controlling it,
Simply being aware,
Observing the breath moment to moment.
Noticing the natural movements and sensations in the body that are created by breathing,
Being fully in the present moment with each breath.
Letting your body and mind to slow down more and more with each breath that you take.
Allowing yourself to be very relaxed,
Very peaceful,
But also very,
Very alert,
Very attentive,
Strong mind.
Now,
Begin to visualize yourself sitting in a shallow stream of water and see a gentle flowing waterfall going over you.
See the water gently flowing over your whole body,
Soothing and refreshing you.
And as the water pours softly over you,
Notice the calming effect it has on your mind.
Feel your mind becoming very quiet,
Very peaceful.
And in this state,
Remind yourself that you have an accumulation of beliefs that you've picked up from your parents,
Teachers,
Religions,
Other sources as well.
And know that some of these beliefs are useful and some are not useful to you.
Some have even blocked your development and progress in life.
So don't identify with any individual thought,
Any individual belief or pattern you have.
Just know that you want to empty your head and heart of these things that are no longer valuable to your life.
Choose now,
Consciously choose now to free yourself from these beliefs,
These thoughts,
These emotions.
Free yourself from these beliefs,
These thoughts,
These patterns.
Just let go of them.
Allow yourself to release them.
So go back to visualizing yourself under this gentle waterfall.
See that water gently flowing over you and see the water washing out all those old habitual thoughts from your mind.
And vividly,
As vividly as you can,
See these thoughts floating down the stream away from you.
The water has washed them away.
See them floating further and further away from you.
If it helps,
See them as leaves or pieces of wood that have been caught up in the current and just watch them as they float further and further away.
Maybe they're little bubbles that you see floating away.
Whatever it is that you see them as,
Know that you are releasing them.
Feel that emotion of releasing and watch them float away until they disappear entirely.
And feel yourself being filled with clarity.
Know that you are free from a cluttered mind.
Your mind is now lucid and clear and you have this great capacity to think for yourself.
You've released the unwanted beliefs and ideas that you've habitually kept with you.
And continue to see and feel this gentle waterfall running over your body.
Feel the sensation of water flowing over you.
Feel your new sense of freedom,
A sense of clarity that has filled your mind.
Your thoughts are noticeably more positive and productive.
Open your mind to the vastness of your potential.
Open yourself fully and trust in the process of life.
And I will leave you in silence for a few moments on your own.
In this time,
Continue to visualize the waterfall flowing over you,
Seeing your old thoughts being washed away as leaves or sticks or bubbles.
However they appear is fine,
But watch them gently washing away from you,
Floating away.
And feel your mind becoming clearer,
More focused,
More peaceful.
Stay with the visualization and feel the emotions that arise naturally as fully as you can.
