Welcome back,
This is a practice for you to do any time of the day to check in with yourself and to reset your priorities.
We're going to find a comfortable seat for this practice and when you're ready you can close your eyes and place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly and simply land in your body in this moment and in your breath,
Finding some deeper and slower breaths,
Finding a slight pause at the top of your inhale and like you're blowing through a straw gently exhale out of the mouth,
Slow inhale through your nose at your own pace at your own time,
A slight pause at the top of the inhale so holding at the top of the inhale and purse the lips as you exhale out of the mouth,
Elongate the breath.
When you're ready finding the inhale,
A little pause,
Whenever you reach the top find your pace and a lovely long exhale,
Inviting the breath to be deliciously slow,
Continue with that slow inhale through the nose,
You might hold a little bit longer if that feels comfortable and then a lovely slow exhale,
Elongating the exhale making it longer than the inhale,
Being curious about the breath,
Slow inhale pause into the body,
Body slowly fills with that breath coming all the way to the top of the inhale and holding this natural linger there,
Free the mind,
Soften as you hold and then a lovely long exhale.
If this is too slow again find your pace,
Slow inhale,
Make it work for you,
Holding the breath at the top and then a lovely long exhale,
Slow inhale,
Holding at the top,
Blowing the exhale out of the mouth,
Another slow inhale when you're ready,
Really tuning into the breath,
Really bringing your awareness to the breath,
Holding the breath at the top,
Be curious about the holding and then a long exhale landing in this moment,
Letting go of the day so far,
Resetting.
The last one here,
Once you've done that exhale,
You can breathe in and out of the nose now,
And notice how that short breath practice has made you feel,
Notice how it has shifted your physiology and just be with the sensation in the body,
Give your mind permission to be present with the body and the breath.
I'm going to ask you some questions now for you to contemplate,
How am I in this moment?
Without the story in the mind,
How am I in this moment?
What has the energy of my mind been like today?
Is there anything I want to tell myself so I can show up as my best self this afternoon?
Is there anything I need to let go of or set boundaries around so I can show up as my best self this afternoon?
Tune into the heart space for a moment and with everything that you've contemplated in mind,
Ask yourself what mantra can I tell myself to keep myself connected to this mindset and how I wish to show up today?
What mantra can I tell myself to keep me connected to this mindset and how I wish to show up today?
Now when you're ready you can open your eyes,
Now maybe writing your mantra down somewhere so you can come back to it and so it can support you throughout the rest of your day.
Thank you so much and have a beautiful day.
