So finding your comfortable posture,
Your upright posture,
Whatever is going to support you today.
And settling in and really taking a look,
A loving look,
What I love,
What one of our wonderful teachers Tara Brach says,
A long loving look at what's going on in this body right now.
Just settling and taking a look.
And doing that with just an abundance of love for this one body that we have,
That's carrying us through our lives.
What's happening?
Maybe there's settledness and quiet,
Maybe there's fidgetiness or agitation.
Just taking a look and seeing if you can locate the breath in this exploration of how the body is doing and just begin to notice the breath.
Flowing in and out of the body.
And getting curious about the breath.
Noticing if it's long or if it's short or if it's deep or if it's shallow.
And without any assessment or wanting it to be something other than it is,
Just watching each breath.
And doing that with a lot of love.
This is what's keeping us alive,
This breath.
And then taking a loving look at the mind.
Is the mind settled?
Is there a lot of thinking happening?
Wandering mind?
Worry?
Anxiety?
Joy?
Not that it's one thing,
It'll be changing.
Taking a loving look at the mind and the way that it's changing.
Thoughts coming and going,
Emotions coming and going.
And now just stepping back and seeing this whole process.
Not as something that should be anything other than it is,
But just what it is.
The body,
The breath,
Thinking,
Emotion.
Just this beautiful process happening.
And potentially full of love.
