As this golden light flows through every part of your body,
Every cell in your body,
It shines brightly.
Filling your body with compassion.
Allow this light of compassion to fill you,
To radiate from you,

Imagine yourself meeting a stranger and on meeting that stranger you radiate this light of compassion to them.
You remind yourself that this stranger has parents and people who love them just like you.
You remind yourself that this stranger has moments of joy just like you.
You remind yourself that this stranger has moments of anguish and suffering just like you.
You remind yourself that this stranger will one day grow old just like you.
You remind yourself that this stranger will go through cycles of illness and recovery just like you.

Filled with the light of compassion you will know this stranger is not a stranger anymore but a living soul just like you.
