Taking deep deep breaths,
Gathering yourself,
Getting centered,
Getting still,
Becoming aware of your body,
The expression on your face,
How you're carrying your back and your shoulders,
Where your butt,
Legs and feet are.
What do you see right now?
Becoming mindful and present and aware,
Attentive to what you are looking at.
What is directly in front of you?
What do you hear right now?
Your ears tuning in to the sounds around you,
Becoming even more present.
What do you smell right now?
Becoming aware of where you are right now and what smells are here.
And what do you taste?
Is your mouth dry?
Is it not?
Being in your body,
Noticing your entire body.
And what are you touching?
What are you feeling?
Noticing yourself,
Feeling more anchored and grounded as you are so present with what's here,
What's now.
And affirming to yourself that you will stay grounded,
You will stay centered,
That you will keep distraction at bay.
Connecting with the present moment,
Plugging in to what is now.
The moment I hold on to is the now.
I am here.
I'm here to care for myself.
I'm here to deliver the best life I can to myself.
And I'm aware of what I see,
Hear,
Smell,
Taste,
Touch.
I'm mindful of all these things.
And I'm grateful for the gifts that the moment in hand has for me.
