Welcome to this sleep meditation.
So as we begin,
Find a place where you feel secure,
Safe and warm and contemplating your day and how it's gone.
And how perhaps we didn't get through all our to-do list and how much more we've got to do tomorrow.
So let's try now to put that aside and give ourselves some breathing space.
Give us some time to recharge our batteries.
And most of all,
Let's give some time for some kindness and gratitude towards ourselves.
As we try each day to make things different.
And trying to thrive in perhaps something we don't feel we excel in.
So at this moment,
Let's say goodbye to this day.
As we now look forward to our evening.
So let's start by taking a few deep breaths.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
And as we inhale through the nose.
Let's start again.
And as we exhale.
Letting go of today.
And becoming aware of any tension that we may be holding in our body.
So trust.
Trust that this meditation is going to help you let go of the tension that we are holding.
And that we can.
We can feel renewed and energised.
So as you are settling in now to this meditation.
Let's become aware of our thoughts.
And being able to say let's go these thoughts for today.
Let's let go.
Let's give ourselves permission to let go.
Let's see them as clouds.
That are just passing by.
And as the sky is moving,
The sky becomes clear.
Crystal clear.
And it's a beautiful blue colour.
Helping us to dissolve our day.
To take in nice deep breaths.
Allowing our body to sink into the place where we are lying or sitting.
And allowing the earth to hold us.
Trusting that it can hold us.
Full of gratitude for ourselves and our present moment.
The life that we have.
The body and mind that we have.
The skills that we have.
And just loving ourselves a bit more.
Than perhaps we did yesterday.
Enveloping ourselves in love.
And gratitude.
So breathing in,
Repeating I am breathing in.
And breathing out.
Repeating I am breathing out.
And really finding this easy.
Easy to just drop into your body.
And focus on your breath.
And take in a huge sigh.
As we trust and allow ourselves this time.
To ourselves.
Allow the music to take you on a journey.
A journey of peace and calm.
And in the distance the sound of the ocean.
So evocative of peace.
Starting now to feel.
More relaxed.
More willing to let go.
Giving ourselves permission to let go.
And as we synchronise with this.
Music.
And the sounds.
Feeling more and more relaxed.
Consciously aware of how your body feels.
Putting everything aside.
So you can take care of yourself in this moment.
Everything can wait.
And as we spend now a few moments.
Gently taking care of ourselves.
Focusing on our breathing.
And the gentle music in the background.
Releasing all the tensions of the day.
Not asking where it came from.
In fact in this moment you simply don't care.
Because you are becoming more in tune.
With yourself.
And taking care of yourself.
And as we sink deeper.
Into a slumberland of unconditional love for ourselves.
Reminding us.
That the deep stillness.
We crave for doesn't arise.
Because the world stays still.
Or the mind is quiet.
Stillness is nourished.
And rejuvenated.
When we take care of ourselves.
Breath by breath.
And moment by moment.
And as this sleep meditation.
Comes to an end.
I really hope it has prepared you.
To be more in tune with your needs.
How you are feeling now.
And feeling gratitude.
For who you are.
What you've become.
The process of.
The meditation,
The effect it's had on you.
And how so much better you feel.
Ready for the evening.
And in preparation for a deep.
