Offering a meditation now centered around the mantra,
I am.
Returning us to our sense of being,
Our presence in the moment.
Fostering a shift one breath at a time from thinking to being.
Getting settled now into your preferred meditation posture.
As you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes.
Begin our meditation together now with three deep breaths.
Inhaling through the nose.
And sighing it out.
And again inhale.
And sigh it out.
And lastly inhale.
And sighing it out.
Returning to your normal natural breathing.
Allowing your breath to move freely as it wishes.
As we inhale.
In our inner monologue.
Offering I.
And as we exhale offering M.
Inhaling I.
Exhaling M.
Doing so at your own pace,
Your own rhythm.
Our mantra,
I am.
Rhythmically tied to the breath.
Serves as our anchor.
Tethering us to this present moment.
Making no effort to stop the wanderings of the mind.
Just noticing.
Finding ourselves lost in thought.
Making a conscious choice.
Come back to our breath.
And our mantra.
Inhaling I.
Exhaling M.
One breath at a time.
One repetition of our mantra at a time.
Fostering that shift from thinking.
To being.
The quality of being need not be devoid of thought.
Just simply aware of thought.
Intending our attention to reside with the breath.
With our mantra.
Noticing whenever the mind wanders off.
And gently,
Without judgment.
Returning ourselves to the moment.
Inhaling I.
Exhaling M.
I.
As we inhale I.
Allow your awareness.
To move to the headspace.
As we exhale M.
Allow your attention to fall down to the heart space.
So inhaling I.
Headspace.
Exhaling M.
Down to the heart space.
Consciously fostering this shift from thinking to being.
I.
Am.
I am here.
I am now.
I.
Am.
Moving our awareness.
Our energy.
Our attention.
Progressively down to the body,
To the heart center.
I.
Am.
Perhaps the mind wants to complete that sentence.
I am thinking.
I am feeling.
I am this or that.
That's okay if those thoughts are present.
No need to fight those thoughts.
No need either to indulge them.
Just continue to simplify our experience.
Though the mind would like to complicate the matter.
We're just breathing.
And with each cycle of the breath.
Moving awareness down to the body.
With each repetition of our mantra.
Returning ourselves to our presence.
In this moment.
And now allowing our awareness to reside throughout the cycle of breath.
At the heart center.
So inhaling.
And exhaling.
The heart center.
I.
Am.
So breathing freely throughout the space of the heart.
Middle of the chest.
Middle of the back.
Combing through this space with the breath.
Aligning ourselves with our mantra.
I.
Am.
We might wish to let go of the repetition of mantra.
And just rest in the knowingness of our being.
Of our presence.
Of our I am-ness.
Awareness.
Attention resting at the heart center.
Experiencing the center of your being.
Allow your awareness to emanate from your heart center.
Throughout your body.
Throughout this present moment.
With every cycle of the breath.
Conscious.
Aware.
Present.
Allowing thoughts to move through.
Allowing emotions to move through.
Allowing sensations to ebb and flow throughout the body.
Connected to our breath.
To our heart center.
To our sense of being.
Certainly we can think about this experience.
But we also have the option to be this experience.
Our mind can wander freely to the past.
To the future.
You can judge the present.
We are forever and always here.
And now.
With the breath.
We simply bring awareness.
Knowingness.
To our being.
To our presence.
I am here.
I am now.
I am.
Allowing the mind to rest in the heart.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to analyze.
Or ruminate on.
Just simply breathe.
Here.
And now.
Be here.
And now.
Conscious of thought.
Conscious of emotion.
Conscious of physiology.
Of our inner world.
And outer world.
Unconditional acceptance.
Unwavering awareness.
One breath at a time.
I am.
In this space of meditation.
For a bit longer if you'd like.
But otherwise.
We'll close out our meditation just as we began.
Together with three deep breaths.
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhaling it out.
And again inhale.
Inside out.
And lastly inhale.
I.
Exhale.
