Shift from impending distress and calm your nervous system by zooming out to a different perspective in this guided visualization meditation. Here, you'll find clarity on your situation and take action from a balanced place. When it comes to the grand scheme of things, you're going to be okay. It's an honor and privilege to guide you through this, and I hope it provides you with an alternative to letting fear-based reactions get the best of you. Let's get there together.

Sit up nice and tall.

Let your shoulders stack over your hips and the crown of your head straight up above your tailbone.

You can be on a chair,

On the floor,

Anywhere with your hips propped up and tilted forward slightly.

Let your belly be soft and then wherever you are in your breath,

Let everything out and take a deep inhale through your nose.

Pause at the top,

Sip in a little bit more air and then open your mouth.

Another like that.

Inhale.

Pause and hold.

Open your mouth.

You'll take deep breaths like that and make it a little longer on your exhale.

You can start to breathe in and out through your nose.

Your cadence feels right for you and I invite you to count four counts in on your breath in and six counts out on your breath out.

A little longer on the exhales symbolizing a breath of relief.

That longer sigh out when a situation has passed and you've landed in a paradise.

A longer exhale signifies a settling in to the moment.

A sign of full acceptance of reality as it is,

Not as you would like it to be.

Now whatever issue that you're facing,

Whatever is coming up for you in life,

It's caused your nervous system to be unregulated,

To be excited or down.

See that situation,

That issue,

Play out as if it were on a screen in front of you.

Like you're seeing your life from third person.

See the situation from an outside perspective.

See yourself being affected by it.

Watch the reaction that you felt that you're still feeling maybe.

Now pause the screen in one freeze frame of this moment and you hit fast forward.

Ten years from that point you see yourself on the screen.

What does that version of yourself have to say about the situation you're going through right now?

How's that person feeling?

Where are they?

Who's around them?

What advice might they give you at this moment?

Take that advice,

That future perspective.

Let the screen come back to this moment,

Back to your situation.

Notice if the picture has changed slightly with a new perspective.

Now you're viewing that same paused screen in that moment.

Let it zoom out from there.

Like you're zooming out on a Google Maps view.

You see your neighborhood,

Your city,

Your state,

Territory,

Country,

Continent.

You're zooming all the way up into the ether.

It's quiet there,

It's silent.

You see the whole earth.

A beautiful,

Wondrous place.

A beautiful,

Wondrous home.

A blue dot among the stars.

Seeing a larger perspective.

Notice you're coming back to this moment.

No longer thinking about the screen or viewing the screen in front of you.

You're seeing yourself.

Your life.

Your breath.

Your value.

Your love.

With the perspectives that you have.

Maybe the problem looks differently now.

Here the situation means less or nothing about you.

But you can approach it with equanimity.

Balanced in your decision making,

Balanced in your next action.

Take a deep breath in.

Long exhale.

You're ready to get back to your day.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Sometimes you get lost into the first person perspective. Losing the sense of the global view make us more into judging situations and people. Taking some time to breathe and to shift our perspective helps us to see everything with eyes and heart actually opened. Loved this meditation, thanks for sharing.
