So often, the mind reaches for satisfaction in the world—through accomplishments, relationships, healing, or comfort. But true peace and fulfillment are never found in what changes. This non-dual meditation invites you to rest in the unchanging awareness that is already whole. Through breath awareness, self-inquiry, and gentle visualization, you'll remember the deepest source of satisfaction isn't something to gain—it's what you already are. Presence. Pure being. Here. Now.

So this morning I just got to thinking about how sneaky the mind is.

I can still see how my mind wants satisfaction from the world,

You know,

From the food or from the feeling of accomplishing a big work project or from the world acting in accordance with how I would love it to be.

From our dogs,

From having a clean house,

From having the to-do list that finally gets done,

There's just a piece of the mind that just still hopes maybe this will give me what I'm looking for.

But I've come to see all of this.

I used to judge myself for it,

But a lot lately I've just been seeing all of it as an invitation to just go deeper,

Beyond the ego mind,

And just remember,

Because when I do that,

And I'm sure you can also resonate with this,

Is that there's nothing more deeply satisfying than resting as what we already are,

Which is presence itself.

It's that vast space that holds it all.

So this is the meditation for today.

Just a space to remember the satisfaction of simply being.

That's it.

So just let the body soften for now.

Just let the breath move without any type of management.

Let the jaw loosen.

Let the shoulders fall.

Simply just notice the breath moving in and out,

Remembering that there's no state that you're trying to reach.

There's no perfect inner silence.

It's just this,

This breath,

This moment.

Now notice that there's a sensation of sitting.

There may be thoughts.

There may be a mood.

There may be a physical experience happening right now,

But who is the one noticing all of that?

Just try not to answer with words.

You're just looking.

So if you find that you're feeling a little extra tired today,

Are you the tiredness?

Or are you the one aware of the tiredness?

So whatever is coming up in the mind or the body right now,

Who or what is noticing all of that?

Notice what shifts when you stop claiming the sensations as you.

So you're just seeing.

There is a body.

There are thoughts.

There are preferences,

But I am the field.

I am the space.

I am the aware presence in which it's all playing out.

The you that you sometimes claim yourself to be is just the character in the movie that you've called me,

But that's not you.

So you can just watch.

Watch the screen.

Ah,

There's the character I've called me.

There she is.

There he is.

Sitting,

Breathing,

Having symptoms,

Wanting things to be different,

Maybe tired,

Frustrated.

There they are.

You're just watching.

No judgment.

Just presence watching like a loving observer.

Notice the shift in energy,

The release of urgency,

The way resistance softens when you're not the character in the scene of the movie,

But you're just simply aware of it.

You're just simply allowing presence,

The you that is watching,

Hold all of it,

The fear,

The love,

The symptoms,

The wanting,

The confusion,

The joy,

The exhaustion.

Nothing is pushed away.

Nothing needs to be changed.

Awareness isn't trying to heal the story.

It just allows.

And as our session slowly comes to a close,

Just gently start coming back to the room,

Noticing the breath,

Noticing the sounds in the room.

Let your eyes gently open and let this seeing,

This aware presence,

See the room.

Let the sounds arrive without any labels,

Let the shapes and the colors appear without any judgments.

This is you,

This presence,

The awareness that's your true nature doesn't required closed eyes,

Although it may be helpful,

It never goes anywhere because it's what you are,

It's what I am.

You may just want to look around for a second and just let presence see through the body's eyes.

Thank you for joining me today.

Namaste.

Love you.
