Welcome to liquid light relaxation.
This is a full body progressive muscle relaxation.
But if you want,
You can imagine that the light brings harmony and balance to every single part of your body,
Wherever it goes.
Some people say I don't know how to relax.
If that's you,
Let it change today.
Start from giving your body a nice big stretch.
Extend and tense the muscles in your arms.
And release.
Stretch and tense the muscles in your legs.
And release.
And once you do that,
Get yourself very,
Very comfortable.
Now take a few deep inhales and exhales.
Full inhales,
Just to see what is the capacity of your lungs.
And full exhales,
To have that pleasant feeling of letting go.
Let your breath come back to its natural,
Comfortable pace.
And as you do,
Imagine that just above your head there is a ball of beautiful light.
Light in your favourite colour.
This is the kind of light that moves like liquid.
And there is something about it that makes you feel safe and protected.
Peaceful and well.
Perhaps you recognize that the light is a part of you as you are part of the light.
So it feels only natural that you welcome the light and you allow the light to flow through your body.
The light starts to move down like liquid.
And as it touches the top of your head,
A warm wave of relaxation spreads all over your body.
From the top of your head to your feet.
The light is like warm water cascading down like a gentle waterfall.
You let the light flow slowly to every part of your body.
Every muscle.
Every fibre.
Every cell.
The light flows through your scalp,
Relaxing your scalp.
It flows down through your forehead,
Relaxing your forehead.
It flows down through your eyes,
Releasing tension in the tiny muscles around your eyes.
And then it moves down to your cheeks,
Relaxing your cheeks and your jaw.
And you may even allow a little space between your teeth.
And you feel the light in the back of your neck,
Releasing the tension in the back of your neck.
Let yourself feel it.
Let yourself sense it.
The light feels like warm wave of water,
Bringing you instant relaxation wherever it flows,
Cascading down from the top of your body,
Down to your chest,
To your abdomen,
Spreading through your shoulders.
It releases tension from every muscle in your shoulders.
And it may even feel like a great weight has been lifted off your shoulders,
Flowing down,
Relax in your left arm,
Left elbow,
Left forearm,
Left hand,
Every finger in your left hand.
All the muscles in your left arm and hand are now comfortably relaxed.
Now the light flows down your right arm,
Around your right elbow,
Right forearm,
Right hand,
Flowing to the tips of each of your fingers in your right hand.
And now your right arm and hand are comfortably,
Pleasantly relaxed.
And wherever the light flows,
It moves easily through any obstacles,
Removing what should not be there,
Creating a sense of balance and flow,
Allowing yourself to sense the light in your back,
As it relaxes your upper back,
Your middle back,
Your lower back,
Cascading down,
Releasing any knots and tension in your muscles,
Bringing a sense of openness and flexibility to your back,
Flowing down your spine,
Relaxing all the tiny muscles along your spine,
Flowing down,
Down to your hips,
Relaxing your hips and your bottom.
And before it flows down to your legs,
You notice how nicely it relaxes your chest,
Warm wave flowing through your chest,
Relaxing your chest and all organs within,
Flowing down to your abdomen.
And you may notice that sometimes you tense the muscles of your abdomen for no reason.
Now you can let it all go,
Soft belly,
Feeling your muscles relaxed in your belly,
As well as all organs within,
Following the light down to your legs,
Noticing how it relaxes the front of your thighs,
The back of your thighs,
Flowing down to your knees,
Relaxing your knees front and back,
Flowing down to your calves,
Relaxing your left calf,
Relaxing your right calf,
Feeling the pleasant wave of warm liquid light flowing to your feet,
Flowing through the arches of both of your feet,
To the tips of your toes.
And now it's time to scan your body for any remaining tension points.
And if you find any,
Simply release them with one big,
Exhaling breath,
Feeling the tension one big,
Exhaling breath,
Feeling the tension melting away,
Melting away.
And once again,
Scan your body for any remaining tension points.
Perhaps you find them in your neck or in your shoulders,
In your back or in your belly.
When you find them,
Simply release them with one big,
Exhaling breath,
Watching the tension fading away,
Fading away,
Fading away.
Today it took 15 minutes to relax your body,
But in the future,
You can simply set the intention RELAX and as you hear the word RELAX from yourself,
You will feel tension melting away in your shoulders,
In your back,
You will feel your belly relax and your legs.
You can now continue this relaxation by falling into sleep,
Or you can gather your energy and come back to full daily awareness.
