Hello and welcome to meditation.
Maybe you're seated,
Maybe you're lying down,
Standing up.
I invite you to close your eyes if you haven't yet or maybe find a soft gaze and start by connecting with your body.
Noticing inside your body how all the things,
All the organs,
The tissues,
The bones,
They're all interconnected.
Recognizing that relation,
How everything is in relation to each other.
The heart beating,
The blood flowing,
The muscles working with each breath.
Even if you are not doing anything out of your controlling mind or of your actions,
There are always this world of interconnection.
This world is inside you already.
So I invite you to recognize the interconnection within you.
How each organ works with the other and one affects the other.
How if one area of your body is contracted,
That also affects other parts of your body.
How emotions that you might feel also affects your body,
Your breath,
The state of your mind and vice versa.
The mind also influences everything else in the body and the realm of emotions as well.
Just contemplating this and kind of being in awe that this body is working the way it is.
It's amazing.
As you contemplate this and connect with your breath and feel your body,
Maybe you can include all parts of your body that you normally don't feel in your awareness.
Just by recognizing how one thing is related to the other,
Interdependent.
For the breath to happen,
The lungs,
Muscles,
Nose,
They're all working.
They're all doing something.
It's a whole system and you're not in control.
You're just noticing it.
Breathing is actually happening to you,
To this body.
And you can relax in this,
Noticing how you were being taken care of already.
I'm gonna invite you to,
As you notice yourself,
This body,
That you visualize around you.
All those that you love,
That you care for,
Creating a circle around you.
I invite you to look around and see their faces.
Feel their love and send them the love you feel for them.
And that can include not only humans that you love,
But animals that you love,
Trees that you may love.
Just to create the space of shared connection around you,
All those you love in a circle,
Sending you love,
Care,
A smile,
And you also sending them back love and gratitude for their presence in your life,
For the clear connection that you feel.
Maybe you can recognize how you're important in your life and send that gratitude towards them.
Notice in your body the feelings that are present as you feel this interconnection,
This bond.
And I invite you to expand your circle of interconnection to include not only those that you know deeply in love,
But also those that you might not know as well or have a very intimate relationship with,
But you also are interconnected with.
Those that plant your food,
You might not even know how they look like,
But I invite you to visualize this other circle of all the people that knowingly or not or unknowingly influence your life,
Your existence,
And place them in the circle,
The ones that you maybe work with,
That you depend on to do your own work.
Those that not just plant the food but deliver,
Those that build the road for the cars to go everywhere and for you to get your food,
For all of those in the traffic that are fulfilling their role as part of this big community of humans.
And as you place them around you as well,
I invite you to send them gratitude for all the work that they do that supports your life,
To feel that gratitude in your heart,
And expand that to that circle as well.
The salesmen and women that you meet at the grocery store,
At the gas station,
At the restaurant,
At the hospital,
All those people doing their work and supporting each other even if they don't know.
I'm gonna invite you to expand the circle even more to see that each one of these around you,
The loved ones,
The ones that you were more intimate with,
The ones that you might not know in person but influence your life,
Your existence,
Each one of them also have their own loved ones.
And so I invite you to visualize that each one of them also have their own circle of loved ones,
That they feel love,
Share love,
Receive love and gratitude.
And they also have those that they might not know intimately but they also depend on.
And so place them in those circles.
And notice that if you look from above,
All these circles within circles within circles of gratitude and love,
They form a geometric pattern,
Beautiful pattern.
And if you can visualize the pattern or have some vague idea of this pattern,
You might also recognize that the pattern happens around this rock that we call Earth.
Maybe you can see this whole planet giving us support,
All of us.
The animals and the land,
The ecosystem that allows the planet to be as it is,
The bees that pollenize,
Flowers,
The land itself that allows us to grow food.
And see if you can also offer gratitude and love for so much supporting us.
The sun,
All this light and heat that allows life on this planet,
The rain and the water and our oceans and rivers,
The air that we breathe.
We are all connected through the air.
We are in relationship to the tree via the tree via the air,
Even if we are not mindful of that.
The air we breathe is the air the trees are also breathing in a way,
In a codependent,
Interdependent actually relationship.
And so as you breathe in,
Maybe you can feel gratitude for breathing in for the air and as you breathe out you can send out gratitude with the air towards the trees.
You notice how your body,
Your sense of self,
Of identity,
Individual is right now.
What are the sensations in this body that you can feel?
How is it that breathing is different now just by bringing the awareness of what that means?
How just with each breath you are completely interconnected with all things?
And I invite you to once more notice the breath in the body.
Maybe you can feel the breath flowing,
Moving,
This internal system that is already interconnected.
With each inhale the movement inside,
All the organs working.
And I invite you to rest in this deep,
Deep interconnection.
And whenever you feel ready to open your eyes,
I invite you to do so slowly and as you open your eyes you see and recognize all the things around you,
Showing you that you are not alone.
