This meditation will soothe your nervous system, relax your mind, and remind you of the truth of your expansiveness. Let it soften your heart and reveal its luminosity. You'll feel calm, soft, open, and expanded.

Transcript

Come into a comfortable resting position.

Close your eyes.

Begin to slow and deepen your breath.

Prepare to lengthen your breath by taking six counts in and six counts out.

Begin to soften any areas that you feel tense or tight.

And allow these areas to melt like honey into the ground underneath you.

Relax the muscles in your face.

Space between your eyebrows.

Let your lips smile slightly from the inside.

Relax your shoulders and your belly.

Begin to soften the whole area around your chest.

Feel where your body connects to the ground.

Feel how your weight is supported by the earth underneath you.

Feel how unchanging,

Steady and solid the ground is.

Place you can rest.

Cradled and held by the earth's stability.

Bring your awareness to the very center of your chest.

Your heart space.

Follow your breath all the way into your heart.

And then use your breath to expand your heart outward to the space around your chest.

As you inhale,

Fill that space with a sensation of lightness.

Elevation.

Warmth.

Breathe your breath deep into the center of your heart.

Awakening your heart.

As if you can breathe life into it.

Begin to sense the spaciousness around and within the heart.

Wide.

Open.

Expansive.

So still.

Now can you place yourself into the heart.

Breathing in this calm and vast and quiet space.

The heart is your abode.

It is your hum.

The capacity of the heart is more vast and spacious.

And the mind could ever be.

When you find that you're in the narrative of the mind and you place yourself back into resting in the heart.

Let your mind be swallowed by the cave of the heart.

Unbound.

Free.

Resting in the heart is resting in the self.

Return to the abode.

Find your resting place here.

Breathing to the heart is your very nature.

Let your mind be swallowed by the cave of the heart.
