Welcome.

Today we are focusing on a prayer and a meditation that originates from Hawaii called Hopoponopono.

This is a prayer intended to come into right relationship with yourself,

With others,

And with Mother Earth.

And for this meditation you can think of a situation or a person that might bring you tightness or that feels challenging or maybe create some contraction in your system.

And before we begin I invite you to begin to settle in and take three full and deep breaths.

Inhale,

Fill your lungs,

And exhale.

Settle into the space that you're in.

And again,

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

There are four parts to Hopoponopono.

The first part is I'm sorry.

This is saying sorry for the things I have said or maybe the things I didn't say.

I'm sorry for the things I did or for the ways that I was when I didn't know better or couldn't do better.

The second part is please forgive me.

And this might mean please forgive me that I'm still learning.

Please forgive me that I somehow contributed to this situation.

Please forgive me for how I showed up.

The third part is thank you.

Thank you for showing me what I needed to see.

Thank you for showing me what I needed to learn,

For being a mirror.

Thank you for showing me where I'm still learning and growing even though it's painful to see.

And the fourth part is I love you.

Because underneath it all,

Underneath the hurt,

The pain,

We are all the same.

We all want to feel love,

To be seen,

To be witnessed,

Understood,

To feel joy and peace.

Underneath it all,

We are all unified.

And you have been my teacher and so I love you.

And so as you say this prayer,

You can say it for yourself or your inner child.

You can say it for someone else or you can say it for Mother Earth.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

Directing this next round to your inner child.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

Directing this next round to a person.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

Directing this next round to Mother Earth.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

Now taking a moment to allow the energy,

The frequency of this prayer to rest,

To filter,

To permeate through your body,

Your spirit,

Your energy system,

And to land in your heart and sending yourself love with one final nourishing breath.
