This is a calming, soothing meditation that will bring into quiet stillness and present awareness. The focus is on the breath, but slightly more in-depth with emphasis on the gaps that exist between the breath. Let this meditation melt you into a calm, centered quietude, and draw you into the vastness and wonder that you are.

Come into a comfortable resting position.

Close your eyes.

Begin by slowing your breath.

Stretch it longer and deeper by taking 6 counts in and 6 counts out.

Bring your awareness to your body.

Noticing anywhere you might feel tight or tense.

Begin to allow these areas to soften.

Relax the muscles in your face.

Let your tongue settle.

Let your eyes float in their sockets.

Bring your attention to your breathing.

And notice where you feel the sensation of your breath.

Your nostrils moving in your chest or expanding in your belly.

Breathe with your breath.

Feel the sensation of breathing.

Become aware of the fine threads of breath.

And how your whole body breathes.

Begin to feel into the spaciousness that surrounds your breath.

Space all around it.

And as you attune to this spacious quality.

Notice the gap that exists in between your breaths.

It's a brief moment at the end of the inhale.

And again at the end of the exhale.

Before one breath interludes to the next.

It surrenders.

Suspended.

In total quietude.

The inhale brings life.

Full.

Fertile.

The exhale is a deep release.

A drop into nothingness.

Vast.

Infinite.

Breathe deep into this mystery.

The unknown.

This eternal unfolding.

A quote from the radiant sutras.

Enter these turning points.

Where the rhythms of life transform into each other.

Breath flows in.

Filling.

In this moment,

Drink eternity.

Breath flows out.

Breathing.

Offering itself to infinity.

Cherishing these moments.

Mind dissolves into heart.

Dissolves into space.

Body becomes a vibrating field.

Pulsating between fullness.

And emptiness.
