This is a meditation to take you into a deep healing sleep.
So go ahead and get comfortable.
Find yourself in a position lying down on your bed,
Preferably on your back,
Supported by any pillows or cushions that you may need to feel completely comfortable.
Once you find yourself in this comfortable,
Neutral place,
Make sure you're warm.
Turn the lights out and gently close your eyes.
Just begin by following your breath without trying to change it at all.
Just watch the breath moving in and moving out.
Feel the breath expanding the body and then allowing it to drop back down as the air exits.
And notice how comforting this gentle rhythm is,
This natural rhythm of your own breath.
Now bring your attention to the back of your body.
Notice all of the points that are in contact with the bed,
All of the points of pressure.
Starting down at the feet,
Noticing each and every one.
Noticing the calves,
The hips,
Which parts of the back are most in contact with the bed,
The shoulders,
The upper arms,
The back of the head,
And so on.
Take note of each and every point.
And then collectively allow all of these points of contact to simply melt down into the bed.
Feel them getting warmer,
More supple,
Loose,
Heavy.
Feel the bones begin to heavy down,
The muscles,
The tendons relaxing,
Sinking away from the bone,
Giving way to gravity.
The skin softening,
Everything sinking down without any resistance.
Feel the entire body now getting heavier and heavier.
And notice how even the mind feels more loose and free,
Not grasping or holding on to anything from the day,
Not attached to any concerns.
Just resting in a deep knowing that everything will resolve.
And all there is to be concerned with now is allowing the body and mind to sink into a deep rejuvenating sleep.
You are safe.
You are supported.
Feel this sense of comfort with your entire being and allow your senses to begin to fade.
Transfer yourself over to this deep healing rest knowing that as you slumber,
Every part of you will be recharged,
Reinvigorated and reenergized.
Every single part of you knows exactly what to do on its own.
Allow yourself to surrender now.
Feel the body drop down even further into the safe cocoon,
This nest of comfort,
As if it was exhaling a sigh of relief.
Letting out any remaining thoughts,
Letting go of any remnants of worry,
Fatigue or pain.
Letting go of any physical or mental sensations,
Preparing the mind in an open space of receptivity.
Allow the body to rest now.
Feel the body drop down even further into the deep rejuvenating sleep.
Feel the body drop down even further into the deep rejuvenating sleep.
Letting go of any remnants of worry,
Fatigue or pain.
Letting go of any remnants of worry,
Fatigue or pain.
