Hello,
Thank you for joining me for this meditation today.
So in his book the untethered soul Michael Singer writes Your heart is one of the masterpieces of creation It's a phenomenal instrument.
It has the potential to create vibrations and harmonies that are far beyond the beauty of pianos strings or flutes You can hear an instrument,
But you can feel your heart So today in our meditation,
We're gonna work on feeling our heart our emotional body our internal energies within the physical body,
So let's start to get comfortable here with our physical body and If that means you need to move or stretch please feel free and Perhaps you'd like to sit or lie down during this meditation.
That is absolutely fine You can even stand or walk however,
Your physical body is Able to rest and be most comfortable is what we're looking for here.
So just take a moment Check in see what it needs and when you're ready if it's safe to do so Please feel free to close down your eyes Good and let's begin now by really bringing awareness to our breath flowing in and out feeling the air as it comes in through the nose and fills the chest the ribs in the belly and Then flows back out And as you rest here Imagine that the air is filled with a healing light Imagine that each breath is bringing in a healing energy of love of openness Feeling what that would be like if with every breath you brought in Love and light and warmth and openness good.
So as you rest here I'd like you to think back on a time Where you felt Something sticky something that made you angry or sad Something that hurt you or gave you stress And it can be a situation that was recent or it can be something that was a long time ago And it might be a small situation or maybe it's something a little bit bigger that you're ready to release a little bit And it can be anything it could be Something with someone else maybe your partner said something that upset you or maybe your boss was angry with you for something Or maybe it's something smaller Maybe someone cut you off in traffic or you stubbed your toe or spilt your coffee this morning Just think of a situation that upset you that gave you some stress or anxiety or worry or sadness or fear And really allow yourself to be in that situation again Allow it to come up Allow yourself to feel some of those feelings Knowing deep down that in this space you are safe But you can still feel some of those things that you're ready to start to release Now let's begin to move into the body Let's start to notice in our physical body where that situation where those feelings of that situation are and Maybe you're clenching your fist or it's a tightness in the shoulders Maybe it's in your hips.
Maybe you're squeezing or tightening there or your thighs or knees If you're walking maybe you've noticed heavier footsteps.
Maybe you're stomping Or perhaps it's a tightness or heaviness in the chest or butterflies in the stomach Wherever it is for you.
What sensations are there?
Where is it?
And if it's all over the body,
That's okay.
Just see if we can find where in our body these negative sensations feelings thoughts and energies are And it may take you a few moments May take you a few days or months or years even be patient with yourself.
Give yourself the grace To just keep checking in Good and as you start to find those sensations in the body What else do we notice about them?
Is there a color associated a temperature?
What else can we notice about this?
Sensation is it heavy or light?
Big or small?
Just checking in just finding it.
There's no wrong answers here Good and as you find it and as you notice what you can associate with the sensation this energy Let's start now by really just thanking our body thanking our physical body for helping us hold this Thanking our physical body for being strong and capable thanking our physical body for helping us notice this sensation notice this anger or frustration or fear or sadness and We're gonna thank our physical body for helping us release it a little now So again notice where that sensation is As we kind of bring that awareness back to the breath And in the beginning of our meditation we thought of our breath as a healing energy We thought of each inhale carrying in Positivity and light and love we thought of each exhale taking out the stress and the negativity So,
Let's see if we can inhale to that sensation And as we inhale we're gonna take a deep breath in sensation Can we inhale down into our tummy or our chest?
Can we inhale to our hips or our shoulders?
Can we draw in that healing energy of the breath and let it fill and massage?
Those sensations of stress or worry or negativity and And as we exhale,
Can we just allow that sensation to drain out of the body?
Good,
And let's do this a few times.
Let's inhale and let that breath massage the sensation bringing in what we need and Exhale Allowing what's no longer serving us to open and release And this may require a few rounds of breath so as many times as you need to inhale drawing in that healing energy that healing light healing breath and Exhale releasing what's no longer serving us Good and once you've released out all of that energy All of that sensation we don't need just take a moment to rest here to feel this to bask in this giving yourself a moment to just be giving your body your physical body a moment to just be and When you're ready,
We'll begin to draw ourselves back Maybe wiggling fingers and toes and opening the eyes ready to move through our day filled with that healing energy of breath
