Meditator,
For joining me for this Durga meditation today.
Let's begin together by finding a position where we can let the body rest comfortably,
But still tall and strong.
So perhaps sitting up with those sits bones rooting down,
But the spine lifting tall and strong to the sky.
And then let's allow our eyes to close as we just align our breath.
So nice big inhale and exhale,
Let it go.
Good.
Again,
Inhale,
Drawing your shoulders up and exhale,
Release.
And then once more,
Inhale,
Draw those shoulders up,
Nice tight squeeze and giving yourself a moment here to just be with your breath.
Durga is a warrior goddess.
She is strong,
She is brave.
She is a protector of all things.
Today we're going to use some of that strength.
We're going to allow Durga to share empowerment,
Bravery,
Courage,
Motivation,
Willpower,
And protection with us.
So as we rest here in our tall,
Strong position,
Allow yourself to reflect on a situation where some Durga energy could be needed.
Perhaps it's something at work or home,
Perhaps you need some motivation or a spark to start a project or some willpower for yourself.
Maybe there's a situation where you want to stand up and be heard a little bit more or be brave and say something to someone.
Perhaps you feel you need some protection or maybe this is for someone else,
Someone you want to protect,
Stand up for,
Or even a group you'd like to lead.
Where could you use a little bit more warrior power in your life?
Just begin to picture this,
Let this situation float to the front of your consciousness.
As you allow this situation to be there,
Just start to picture the Durga goddess in front of you.
She is a beautiful warrior riding atop a strong lion.
She is gorgeous,
Fiery in her red silk sari,
Adorned with a golden crown and jewels.
In her many arms,
She holds a trident,
A bow,
An arrow,
A lotus,
A shell,
And more.
She is tall,
She is strong.
You can feel her bravery,
Her warrior energy.
Just being in her presence,
You feel protected.
See this beautiful goddess in front of you,
This beautiful Durga goddess.
As you sit with this goddess,
Begin to picture a beam of light coming out of her heart center.
Perhaps it's white light or fiery red or dark.
Picture this light drawing out of her heart center and connecting to you.
Picture this warrior light that is filled with that goddess energy,
That strength,
That empowerment.
Picture it flooding your body,
Your mind,
Your consciousness.
Picture this light creating a protective bubble of strength around you.
And allow that light to flood this situation.
Allow it to bask this situation with this beautiful,
Strong,
Courageous,
Protective light.
Allow this situation to be infused with this light.
And as you rest here,
Begin to notice how strong you feel.
Allow that strength,
That warrior energy to fill you.
Perhaps your physical body will sit up taller.
Perhaps your breath may grow deeper and stronger.
Allow yourself to be filled with courage,
With strength.
And bask in that feeling.
Breathe that feeling in.
And as you move through your day today,
Perhaps this situation that you thought of will come up.
Just know that that goddess energy is within you.
You are strong.
You are free.
You are protected.
You are a warrior.
Just let yourself feel this and know this.
If that situation comes up or any others today,
Just close your eyes and allow that divine warrior goddess,
Durga energy,
That light to envelop you as you invoke that strength.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin to come back,
Feeling your strong body rest,
Feeling your breath flow,
Slowly and carefully blinking the eyes open.
