I want to heal you,
My small,
Scared,
Huddled inner child.
Hold you as you shiver in fear.
Find all the places you hide,
And sit with you,
Gently,
Patiently,
Lovingly,
For as long as you need,
Until slowly you feel a little safer.
Enough for curiosity to win over timidity,
For you to want to come out,
Tentatively at first.
You can take your time.
We'll go at your pace.
Only when and if you're ready,
You can come out and play.
Because we were born to dance,
To laugh,
To marvel at the beauty of the world.
I want to rewild you,
My tamed,
Muzzled inner sprite.
Discover all the edges that were trimmed to make you more presentable to the outside world,
And let them grow.
Wild,
Unkempt,
As free as a purple blazing star,
Standing tall and proud in the prairie grass,
Calling the monarch butterflies home,
Until you find your wings once more.
For we are here to live wildly,
Vividly,
Visibly.
I want to unravel you,
The staid script of my inner narrative that no longer serves me.
Air out the stale stories that keep me trapped in the prison of my thoughts,
Until I'm just a loose jumble of letters fluttering in the wind,
Waiting for a hand to fill this blank page,
Limitless possibility that is not chained by the binds of the past.
This is the place where magic comes to roost.
Trust,
Dream big,
For we are being guided every step of the way.
