When we let go of what no longer serves us, we create space for something new. The best way to give yourself room to breathe is to consciously or mindfully BREATHE. Here I will guide you as we use our breath and a guided relaxation to release tension and release anything you've been holding onto, moving from the external world to your inner world and your room to breathe that lives inside of you.

Room to breathe meditation.

Find a comfortable seated position with your back supported.

Your head,

Neck,

And spine are upright and aligned.

Feet can be planted on the ground or legs can be crossed.

Whatever feels most comfortable to you today.

Hands rest in your lap and you can gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and out as you settle into your seat.

Begin to move your awareness away from the outside world around you and shift your attention inwards.

Notice if there are any areas of tension,

Pain,

Or tightness in your body.

What are you holding on to?

Is there any feeling that comes up for you when you focus here?

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly release it out through your mouth.

On your next inhale,

Feel yourself breathing new energy and light into any area of tension.

And as you exhale,

Imagine yourself releasing this out.

Keep going for a few more deep cleansing breaths,

Expanding your inhales and lengthening your exhales.

With each inhale,

You breathe in new energy.

With each exhale,

You release your grip a little bit more.

As you continue to inhale,

Let this new energy wash all throughout your body.

Good.

As thoughts come up and it is natural that they will,

Simply notice them and then let them go.

This is part of the clearing process in which you allow thoughts and feelings to come up and out and be released.

We can hand them back over to the universe to recycle.

We no longer need this energy.

No need to judge.

No need to analyze.

Simply notice and release.

You are clearing and creating space.

Now we will slowly guide our body into a deeper relaxation.

On your next inhale,

Bring your attention to the crown of your head.

Feel a warm,

Relaxed breath.

Feel a warm,

Relaxing energy here.

Breathe in and as you exhale,

Feel any tension release from this area.

That warm,

Relaxing energy now moves down to your forehead,

To your brow,

Your eyelids,

Your cheeks.

Breathe in,

Then breathe out any tension.

It may feel good to gently and slowly wiggle your jaw side to side or open and close your mouth.

Allow your tongue to fall from the roof of your mouth.

Smile and feel your whole face relax.

Notice how with each breath your body relaxes even more.

Now that warm energy is moving down to your neck,

Your shoulders,

Washing down further into your arms,

Hands down through your fingers.

On your next inhale,

Feel your chest rise and then fall.

Take a deep breath into your belly.

Feel how it expands,

Creating space as you breathe in new air,

New life.

Feel how your belly deflates as you push out all the stale air.

As you continue to breathe like this,

You are creating more and more space with every breath in and out.

Now the warm,

Relaxing energy continues to move down,

Relaxing your hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Down to your ankles,

Feet,

All the way down through your toes.

Take a deep breath in and feel your whole body relax on your exhale.

As you continue to breathe in and out,

Feel all tension and all stress releasing.

Feel how much lighter you are now,

But still grounded.

Each exhale clears the channels.

Each breath creates space for healing.

In this room to breathe,

You are safe,

Supported,

And loved.

Feel yourself being held here in this space.

You are exactly where you need to be right now,

Creating space for something new.

Just allow yourself to settle into the stillness for a little bit longer.

And as thoughts or feelings come up,

No need to push these away.

Just notice them,

Then release your grip and allow them to drift away.

In a few moments,

I will guide you out with the sound of my voice.

You you you you keeping your eyes closed let's close with three final deep cleansing breaths take a deep breath in through your nose sigh it out through your mouth again breathe in deeply exhale fully one more time biggest inhale open your mouth and then sigh it out with volume good keeping your eyes closed remember that you can always return to this space this room to breathe lives inside of you you simply need to pause and breathe each breath out is an opportunity to clear the clutter and expand your room to breathe every breath in brings new possibilities what will you fill your space with today is there a word that embodies this for you an emotion of feeling trust whatever your soul is revealing to you and set your intention to allow this into your space and as you are ready coming back into your body begin wiggling fingers and toes feeling the seat or ground beneath you gently and slowly blink your eyes open the divine light in me sees and honors the divine light in you namaste
