Come into a comfortable seated position or lying down on your back.

Let your tailbone drop down as your spine rises up,

Standing up nice and tall,

Rolling the shoulders back and down.

Letting the chin be parallel with the floor,

Neck long.

Begin to notice your breathing.

Is it long?

Deep?

Smooth?

Or is it rough,

Short,

Jagged?

Just noticing it first,

Bringing attention to the present moment.

Letting any thoughts about your day,

About things that happened yesterday,

Things that are coming later,

Let them all just drop away.

Be in this moment now,

Very consciously aware of your breath,

Connecting with your body and your mind.

Keep breathing through your nose,

Closing your eyes,

Letting your eyelids be heavy,

The backs of the eyes relaxed,

No strain.

Searching through the entire body for any signs of strain and seeing if you can just relax deeper and deeper with each exhale.

Inhaling and exhaling about equal length,

Try to make it nice,

Long and smooth,

But don't strain once again.

Letting go and dropping into your heart center.

As you're still aware of your breath,

Bringing your attention down to your heart,

Just internally imagining that you're looking inside at your heart and you're feeling what's going on down there.

You can even place your hands over your heart if you like.

Have them spreading across your chest so your palms are over your heart.

Either one hand on top of the other or just spread out across the chest like wings.

Then moving your hands in a circular motion over your chest.

Breathing nice and deep,

Again sitting up nice and tall.

You're now bringing some movement into your hands by circling them over your chest,

Enlivening and awakening that heart energy within you.

Becoming very conscious of your sense of love,

Compassion,

Openness,

Honesty,

Truth.

Really connecting with that inner part of you,

That inner knowing source of all the love that exists within you and around you.

You can even bring some gentle movement into your upper body if you'd like.

If you're lying down it might not be as easy but you can still just bring a gentle swaying motion just trying to bring relaxation and peace to all of your muscles,

Working out any tension that exists.

Circling your hand over your heart and looking inward,

Internally focused on what's going on for you in your emotional world.

Just have a nice gentle non-judgmental focus,

An awareness,

Not getting wrapped up or caught up in any way with the emotions.

Not going into stories about what caused them or self-blame or anything really,

Just being aware of what's going on for you emotionally.

And now you can relax your hands,

You can bring them back down to your knees or if you're lying down on the floor just let your arms rest out beside you,

Palms facing up or down whichever you prefer.

And still looking inward with this new knowledge,

Allow an intention to arise for what is most needed for you in this moment to bring out into your day or maybe into your dreams if you're listening to this at night.

What is the intention that arises for you?

What is it that you need to cultivate in order to provide yourself with your highest healing in the emotional realm?

Some strong emotions can sometimes come up.

They might be strong emotions either of joy and love and happiness or they could be some more difficult and taxing,

Challenging emotions,

Sadness,

Grief,

Guilt.

Try to compassionately and lovingly look at yourself,

Look at those emotions and look at what you need in order to provide yourself the best healing for this issue.

What is it you're dealing with internally that you might not talk about with anyone,

Even yourself?

Really take the time to get to know yourself,

Be brave,

Look inward and not in a critical way,

But a way in which we're learning to take the best care of ourselves so that we can get the most joy and fun out of life,

So that we can be our most authentic selves,

Living in integrity and honesty,

So that we can get along with other people in the best ways.

So just let that intention sink in now.

As you bring your hands to your heart once again,

This time palms pressing together in prayer pose.

Offering gratitude to yourself,

To your higher self,

Your heart,

To whatever higher power exists for you,

Whether that's your own intuition,

The universe,

God,

Spirit,

However you look at it,

Giving gratitude for this awareness,

So that you can learn to do what you need to do to live your best life.

Now lifting your palms up to the center of your forehead,

Pressing the thumbs to your forehead.

Let go of the intention now and just know that you've planted a seed deep inside your heart.

Know that that seed of intention is already germinating.

Just let it go.

Bring your hands down,

Back down to your legs or to the floor if you're lying down.

And gently open your eyes.
