Namaste dear one,
This is Jay Chaturagam.
Today we will practice a mantra meditation.
Meditation is the process of getting to know yourself completely,
Both who you are inside and how you react to what is outside.
Above all,
Meditation is enjoying yourself in the literal sense of the word.
There is a higher realm you can tap into that unlocks limitless possibilities.
The only thing holding you back from those things is your mind.
That's why many great people through history start the day with meditation.
A lot of people today have hot heads and cold hearts.
Mantras can transform that to warm hearts and cool heads.
Now find a comfortable posture,
You could be either seated or lying down,
And as you make this commitment of time to yourself,
Make sure that there will be no distractions of any kind.
Make yourself very comfortable,
Relaxed,
Yet alert.
There is nowhere else more important to be,
Nothing more important to do,
Than putting yourself on the top of your priority list.
If you're seated in a chair,
Make sure that your feet are firmly planted on the ground.
Rest your arms on your knees or on your lap or lay them beside you if you're lying down.
Drop the jaw,
Relax the face,
Drop the shoulders,
Soften the belly,
And relax your entire body.
If you haven't already done so,
Go ahead and gently downshift your gaze,
Or if you feel comfortable,
Go ahead and close your eyes,
And bring your attention to your breath.
Breath brings you to the present moment.
As you're inhaling,
A nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nostrils,
And as you're exhaling,
Let it all out,
Squeezing it out from the bottom of your… A nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nostrils,
And letting it all out through the mouth.
Inhaling,
Nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
And as you're exhaling,
Repeat the mantra of slow down,
Nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Exhale,
Slow down,
Nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Say the phrase,
Let go,
Nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Let go,
Inhale,
Take time,
Inhale,
Take time,
Inhale,
Be patient,
Inhale,
Be patient,
Inhale,
And as you're exhaling,
For a count of five,
Say P-E-A-C-E,
Inhale,
P-E-A-C-E,
And I want you to repeat this practice a couple more times on your own.
The next mantra is,
I am light,
I am light,
I am light,
I want you to repeat this practice to yourself for a few minutes,
I'll watch the time.
If you find yourself getting distracted,
Gently bring yourself back without being too harsh to the mantra,
I am light,
I am light,
Welcome back,
Dear soul.
Now please bring your palms together in prayer position at your heart center,
Rub your palms briskly kindling the prana or the chi,
And when you find a nice,
Warm ball of energy welled up between your palms,
I want you to go ahead and cup your eyes one with each palm and bless yourself,
I am loved,
I am safe,
I am being guided,
And at your own pace you can go ahead and drop your arms and gently open your eyes.
I thank you for joining me in this practice today,
This is Jai Chodakam wishing you have a fabulous day,
Namaste.
