This meditation is to support any feelings of anxiety you may experience during your day.

During the meditation you may stand,

Sit,

Or lie down while you listen.

Just be comfortable.

Take a deep breath and feel your body sinking into whatever is supporting you right now.

Just acknowledge where you are and open up to whatever is here right now so that you can become aware of the physical sensations in your body.

Notice your body temperature,

Whether it's hot or cold.

Just notice.

You may feel an internal sort of speeding up or slowing down.

Or you may have a sense that you are expanding or contracting.

And then notice your emotions.

Can you name the two or three most predominant feelings that you are experiencing right now?

What is profoundly in your mind right now?

Take a deep breath in.

And just feel all the thoughts that are going on in your mind.

Reduce them to just one sentence so that we can get to the heart of the matter.

Allow all of these sensations and these feelings and thoughts to be completely present in you and beside you.

Now narrow your attention to focus on your breath.

Breathe in and out and then bring your attention to your feet.

Notice that you have toes and wiggle them.

And can you imagine thick tree roots coming out of the soles of your feet?

They swirl and flow through your feet down to the floor all the way through the building you are in,

Through the soil,

Deeper and deeper,

Snaking down through the sediment and rock,

Down,

Down through the soles of your feet,

Right into the center of the earth.

What does it look like there in your mind?

You might see the center as a ball of fire or as a soft growing crystal or even a cool and peaceful cave or maybe just something else.

This is the heart of Mother Earth and you are here on Mother Earth.

Let the roots from your feet wrap around this place.

It's a warm,

Loving,

Blissful place.

There's nothing but calm acceptance here and love.

Just breathe in this peaceful energy and allow yourself to relax.

Knowing that you are always connected to this place,

You can always just imagine this calm,

Peaceful energy gently swirling around you,

Within you.

And now feel your roots tuning into light,

Light expanding upward from your roots,

Beginning to rise up,

Lighting your tree roots as it goes,

And you're seeing your roots glow with the light that's rising higher and higher,

Rising up through the layers of the earth,

Up through the sediment and the soil,

Until it reaches the place you are in.

And you let that light climb to the top of your roots,

To your feet,

And you feel it there,

You feel it rising,

And it's gently warming your legs and your torso.

You're just breathing it into your belly,

Breathing deeply into your belly,

Breathing in this beautiful,

Calm energy.

And feeling connected to the peace that is at the center of the earth.

Let this light spread from your belly to relax all of your body,

And feel yourself surrender to it.

Let this light sit in the center of your chest,

Pulsing with your heartbeat,

Just sitting quietly and feeling,

Breathing and feeling,

Feeling your breath in this time,

This moment,

Moment by moment,

Coming back to the present moment.

Check in with yourself and your body's sensations,

Your emotions,

Your thoughts.

Notice how they may have shifted in just this short time.

Feel these moments of grounding yourself and connecting to something much bigger than you,

Breathing in peace,

Breathing out calm.

You've got this.

It's a nice start to my day. Although upon waking I didn't really have anything that was causing me any angst or concern so instead I just set an intention for the day. Thank you

I think this was very helpful. I was very jittery and hyperactive all morning and this helped me calm down, become grounded and be in the moment. And the "You've got this" at the end made me smile. Thank you so much for this 😊😊🙏
