Hello everyone,
This is Jane in the Zen Studio.
Let's learn about Apann Mudra.
Apann,
Spelled A-P-A-N,
Means energy.
So this mudra is all about what happens in our body with our energy in terms of how we release toxins and eliminate anything that we don't need within our body.
Place your thumb,
Middle finger,
And ring finger together so the tips of those are touching.
Your index and baby finger will be relaxed.
Come into your seated pose.
Place your hands in Apann Mudra on your inner knees or wherever they're comfortable on the top of your thighs.
As long as your shoulders and your elbows are relaxed.
Take a deep breath in and a slow exhale.
And just breathing up from your roots,
Inhale.
Slowly exhale.
Feel the life force running through your body as you breathe.
The Apann Mudra will eliminate waste and toxins from our body.
And it also stimulates the wood element,
Which is associated with the energy of our liver and gallbladder.
So there's a lot of detoxifying going on when we practice Apann Mudra.
The Apann Mudra also denotes new beginnings or shaping a new vision for the future.
So it's really beautiful to visualize as you're in Apann Mudra.
Visualize something in your future that needs to come into fruition.
The Apann Mudra has a balancing effect on our mind,
Which is largely dependent upon a well-functioning liver.
So it gives us patience,
Serenity,
Confidence,
Inner balance,
And harmony.
And in the mental realm,
It creates the ability to develop and enhance our vision.
And so we need all these things when we look into our future or while we're facing new challenges and we want to fulfill our wishes and dreams,
Our desires.
In your imagination,
Sit in a beautiful,
Richly blossoming garden.
You're enjoying the various colors and forms of the plants,
Feeling the lush atmosphere,
Fresh and green.
And you observe the great mystery of nature and the cosmos,
How a seed germinates,
How a plant grows and blooms.
Now in an empty,
Fertile bed,
Plant something that should bear rich fruits for you.
A conversation,
A relationship,
A project.
Imagine how it sprouts,
Continues to develop,
Blossoms,
And bears rich fruit.
Ask who should benefit from these fruits?
End this image with gratitude,
Deep gratitude for all that our life contains.
Your affirmation is,
I plant my seeds,
Care for them,
And receive a rich harvest that I thankfully accept.
