Perhaps in the chest and back,
Or simply being aware of breath going into and out of the body in its entirety.
Just living life one inhalation and one exhalation at a time.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Watching each breath appear and disappear.
Just breathing.
When you notice that you've wandered away,
Acknowledge where you went and then come back to the breath.
This is a repetitive process,
But it's the way of awareness.
When practicing mindfulness of the breath,
There is nothing to do or achieve.
Just be with the breath moment by moment as best as you can.
And may you know that mindfulness on a deeper level is an act of self-care that promotes health and well-being.
