The Maiden represents our youthful innocence and free spirit,
While the Mother represents a deep well of love,
Nurturing and fierce feminine authority.
As the transition from being a Maiden to becoming a Mother begins,
Use this process to connect to these archetypes.
Infuse their wisdom with your unique energy as your path to Motherhood unfolds.
You may like to have a journal to record any wisdom you receive on your journey,
And feel free to pause at any time so that you may have longer to commune with the archetype of your choice.
Take a moment to settle into your seat,
Whether that be seated or lying down.
Allow your body to move as it settles and opens gently.
Let out a sigh on your next exhale.
Just allow your breathing to find its own gentle rhythm.
Continuing to let out any extended sighs along the way,
Just allow your breath to move in a way that it needs to for you today.
Let's set the intention to connect to these archetypes,
And receive what is needed for you on this journey we are about to take.
Bring your awareness to the centre of your chest.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.
Let your ribcage expand,
And your body relax.
Notice the space behind your breastbone as you feel your ribs expand with each full inhale.
This is the space where your heart centre resides.
This heart centre is calling you to go on a journey.
Take a moment to feel,
Think,
Sense or imagine a doorway at the centre of your heart space.
Notice the size,
Shape,
Colour and texture of the door.
You approach this door,
And knock,
Signalling your intention to enter.
The door opens easily in front of you,
And you step through onto a pathway.
You have entered the cathedral of your heart.
Take a moment to look around in all directions.
Take in the scenery that is surrounding you.
Perhaps you are in a lush rainforest,
Or on a sandy pathway to the beach.
Perhaps you are at the entrance to a crystal cave.
What sounds can you hear?
Are there any familiar smells?
Take in the beautiful colours from Mother Nature that are on display.
Just breathe it all in.
You notice that your feet are grounded and connected to the supportive pathway in front of you.
You trust your feet to guide you along this pathway,
Knowing that you are safe to do so.
As you begin your journey,
You notice that there is a figure up ahead waiting for you.
As you approach this figure,
You recognise her youthful energy.
The maiden greets you with a warm embrace.
She is excited that you are here today.
She shares a message of gratitude.
Thank you.
Thank you for your innocence,
Your playfulness and your zest for life.
Thank you for your openness,
Your sense of fun and spontaneity.
Thank you for your need to soak it all in,
See it all,
Do it all,
Taste it all and feel it all.
Thank you for experiencing the light and the dark,
The boldness,
The adventure,
The heartfelt joy.
Thank you for embracing me.
The maiden takes your hand and gives it a gentle squeeze as she walks with you now.
She guides you to a clearing where there is a fire gently burning.
You take a seat next to the fire,
Letting yourself be held by the warmth.
The maiden sits beside you and lets you know that there is another figure seated on the other side of you.
The mother is here.
She holds you with a gaze of love and compassion.
She has a message for you.
I welcome you into my loving embrace,
Dear one.
I hold you now as your transition begins.
You are stepping forward as the creator,
The nurturer,
The fierce protector.
You are going beyond what you know,
Deepening your heart's wisdom.
This heart of yours will provide a space for compassion and grace,
A place for tenderness and care.
You are grounded in trust,
Support and stability as you allow your growth to occur.
Feel the arms of the cosmic mother hold you with her fierce love.
Breathe in and receive that loving message,
Allowing it to sweep through your whole body.
The maiden and the mother join hands now as you form a circle of three around the fire.
You invite the fires of transformation to rise as you begin to sway and dance around the fire.
Feel yourself being held and guided by the supportive energies of the maiden and the mother.
The fires of transformation are potent and any fears,
Doubts or grief about the transition into motherhood are invited to be placed into the fire.
Trusting yourself now to share whatever needs to come through for you at this time,
Releasing it all into the flames.
The fire transmutes these fears,
Doubts and grief into tiny embers,
Sending them to the sky to be carried away up into the light.
Know that you can return to this process at the fire as often as you need to.
Take a moment to breathe in fully and sigh out on your exhale.
The campfire starts to change again as you notice the energy of the maiden starts to form its own unique flame in the fire.
The energy of the mother also forms its unique flame within the fire.
The two flames dance closer and closer until they begin to touch.
You can feel the passion and the warmth of these two flames as they come together.
The maiden merging with the mother.
These flames begin to emit small sparks of golden light.
These tiny sparks float above the fire,
Displaying their unique dance.
These dancing golden sparks of light begin to gently cascade over you,
Landing in your body.
This new essence of you slowly and gently fills every cell of your body,
Allowing this essence to move from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes.
If there is any resistance,
Just know that you have permission to allow as little or as much of this essence in at this time.
And however much lands in,
Just receive it with love and curiosity.
Take a moment to breathe it all in,
Bathe in this new energy available to you.
Stay aware of your breath,
Allowing it to flow to its own natural rhythm.
You notice the flames of the fire have subsided,
And once again burn gently.
You know that it is time to farewell the maiden.
Your energy remains with you always.
You place a hand on each other's heart center,
And feel into any final messages you need to receive.
It might be a word,
A phrase,
A feeling,
Just a knowing.
Receiving whatever you need to.
Breathe in fully on your next inhale,
And sigh out on your next exhale.
You turn now to the mother who smiles kindly as you walk beside each other back along the familiar pathway.
And notice the beauty of mother nature surrounding you as you journey along this path.
You soon approach the familiar doorway,
And stop for a moment.
The mother pauses,
And bows deeply in gratitude.
She knows that this journey of transition is not always easy,
And she acknowledges how far you have come.
You receive her words with gratitude,
And breathe them in fully,
Perhaps exhaling with a sigh.
And with that,
You step through the doorway once again,
Feeling the ground beneath your seat.
Having another full inhale,
And exhale,
Inviting some gentle movement back to your body.
Take a moment here to be held in support by the cosmic mother.
Perhaps placing a hand on the heart space,
Feeling into the support that dwells deep within your heart's cathedral.
Return here as often as you need.
Take some time to journal if that feels right for you.
