Welcome.
The sun approaches the shore,
Then disappears behind thick fog,
A loss of warmth and visibility.
When I walk out on the rocks,
The fog is so thick,
The only way I know I am surrounded by water is to listen to the regular swish and wet tumble of the waves breaking,
Unseen but almost at my feet.
Let any noise fade into the background.
As you sit here in silence,
Feel the refreshing quiet envelop you like a blanket whose only function is to protect you and comfort you and to allow you to exist inside,
Deep inside.
Find ways in this moment to appreciate your physical form,
The body that gives you your everyday life here.
Notice what parts of your physical being call out to you for special attention and extra nurturing and offer these healing qualities to them right now.
And do the same for your emotional self.
Listen with compassion to those feelings that right now ask for loving acceptance and gentle expression,
Or even perhaps not so gentle expression.
Give yourself permission to feel what you already are feeling and to move the feeling out into the world.
As you continue this movement,
What is revealed is your essence,
That fragile but eternal quality that is yours and yours alone,
Unique in all the world.
Consider how you might honor and express your spirit.
May you appreciate the comings and goings in your life today.
Your gift today is goodbyes.
