I've noticed recently we start our mornings by checking our phone and filling our mind with fear and worry Fed through the media news or our socials and have forgotten to speak.
What is joyous to us?
Instead recycling the hurt of the world first up in the morning and Taking that into our day Simply because we've forgotten to feed ourselves with gratefulness We are held together by a life of love that knows no bounds So why do we speak more often of what hurts rather than what heals?
Today is a new beginning a clean slate a fresh day And we are going to begin this practice by going inward And focusing our attention on things that nourish Comfort and inspire us Comfort and inspire us Let's begin either lying here in your bed while sitting in a comfortable seated position Your heart is open your chin gently tucked To begin we are going to do six slow diaphragmatic breaths to soften your body and bring you into a state of conscious wakefulness Your hands gently place you on your diaphragm Just above your stomach and below your rib cage So you can feel the movement of your breath filling every cell with energy and vitality On the inhale your diaphragm expands On the exhale your diaphragm softens Inhale your diaphragm expands Exhale your diaphragm softens Inhale expand Exhale soften Just taking one more breath Just taking one more big breath here through the nose And exhaling fully relaxing soften letting go As your breath returns to the natural ebb and flow Let's start the morning with a gratitude ritual Bringing your attention into your heart space You could place your right hand here over your heart Feel the love growing like sunshine here in your chest Allowing three things to come to mind that you are genuinely grateful for today These three things may be different each day and they can be the simplest of blessings And they can be the simplest of blessings I am grateful for the morning before the day opens I'm grateful for the smell of nature after it has rained I am grateful for the beautiful ideas that awaken inside of me Just allowing this capacity to accept gratitude to permeate throughout your whole body Allowing this space to hold you Your own being resting in this light of gratefulness Bringing your awareness to the surface of your body Bringing your awareness now to your third eye The spot just in between your eyebrows Let there be a real openness and lightness here Just setting an intention with how you want to flow throughout your day today Sense what your deepest intention is I am strong and healthy I am loved and at ease My mind is calm and at peace I am focused and in flow with opportunities My heart is a channel for love and compassion I am open to receiving abundance I can handle anything that comes my way I am open to receiving abundance I can handle anything that comes my way Becoming aware of the vibration here Within your body The space The aliveness Relacing your intention off into the universe Into the energy all around you Let it unfold into your day Let it unfold into your day Always remember that each day is a new beginning A new opportunity A fresh start Now gently bringing your attention back into the space Bringing your attention back into the room Taking a moment to feel how relaxed your body is Your legs are resting heavy Your spine is long Taking your awareness towards your feet Just gently wiggling your toes Wiggling your fingertips And whenever you're ready Just gently opening up your eyes To the new day in front of you Today is going to be a beautiful day
