Isabelle's "Bubble" Guided Meditation creates a special time and place where everyone in the family can enjoy some rest and relaxation. "Imagine you breathe out a bubble in front of you. This bubble is so big it almost fills the room. At the front of the bubble is a wide door. You decide to step inside and gently close your eyes."-

Hello everyone,

This is Isabel.

This is your special time where you can enjoy some rest and relaxation.

Find somewhere quiet and peaceful to lay or sit.

And rest your arms by your sides.

If you wish,

Gently close your eyes.

Now let's begin.

Breathing deeply helps you to relax.

Start your relaxation by taking a few deep breaths.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

As you breathe in,

Imagine your belly filling up like a big balloon.

As you breathe out,

Feel your balloon getting smaller and smaller until your belly becomes flat.

Breathe in,

Filling up your belly like a big balloon again.

And slowly breathe out.

Feeling your belly becoming empty as you let all the air out of the balloon.

Let's breathe in again.

This time as you breathe out,

Imagine you breathe out a big bubble standing in front of you.

This bubble is so big it almost fills the room.

Notice what colour your bubble is.

At the front of the bubble is a wide door.

You decide to step inside.

As you step inside,

You notice there is a large spacious room.

Here you can decorate the inside of your bubble in any way you like.

You can paint the walls and ceiling any colour you wish.

And hang up your special artwork and drawings.

You can fill it with your favourite games and books and listen to your favourite music.

There is a large cupboard filled with your most favourite food and you can smell something delicious floating through the air.

The temperature in your bubble feels perfect.

And the floor is covered in the softest fluffiest blankets in the most beautiful colours.

You feel really relaxed and comfortable in your bubble and feel so safe here.

Take some time now to rest and enjoy this moment.

As you are resting,

Notice how your body feels right now.

Each parts of your body feel relaxed.

Come aware of your own gentle in and out breath.

Enjoy the feeling of your breathing.

Feel how soothing it is.

Breathe in any happiness you are feeling right now.

Find out any worries or concerns.

Take a few more moments to enjoy your bubble.

Now you have created this special bubble.

You can go back to this special place any time you like.

Slowly step out of your bubble now and watch as it begins to shrink smaller and smaller.

Take your small bubble and gently place it in your heart,

Knowing you can return to your bubble any time you like.

Your bubble is a special place where you can feel safe,

Happy and relaxed.

Now breathing in and gently breathing out.

When you hear the bell,

Slowly open your eyes and come back to this moment feeling peaceful and calm.

My 12 year old daughter and I love love LOVE this meditation. Even when she's not with me I use it. She has some emotional challenges and this meditation is a life saver. In fact, we used it just now after she got home from school and was suffering with so much anxiety etc. Afterwards, we both feel amazing and calm. Thank you!!!

I love the bubble meditation. It’s such a lovely visualization that is calming and relaxing. I’m going to use this outside of the meditation itself when I am feeling overwhelmed.

I did this with my 4 year old and it was very calming. He is still trying to get the hang of deep breathing, but he was able to understand the instructions and interacted well. Thank you for creating this!
