Welcome to this guided meditation for the full moon in Taurus.
Take a moment to make yourself really comfy.
Preferably you'll be seated with your back straight,
But you can lie down if that feels better for you.
And just really allow your body to settle.
Gently close your eyes.
And take a few deep breaths.
Full moons are moments of illumination.
The moon is fully lit.
And symbolically they invite us to see more clearly.
To recognise what has reached completion.
What we have learned.
What we are carrying.
And what we may now be ready to release.
October's full moon is traditionally known as the hunter's moon.
It arrives after the harvest moon.
At a time of year when we prepare for the colder,
Darker months ahead.
We can use that symbolism as an invitation to consider what we truly want to carry forward into this next season.
And what we no longer need to take with us.
And this hunter's moon falls in Taurus,
An earth sign associated with grounding,
Stability,
With the body,
Our values,
And our own sense of security.
This sign really brings us back to our foundations.
To what is real.
And to what genuinely supports and nourishes us.
But tourists can also hold tightly to what feels safe and familiar.
Even when it has stopped serving us.
So this full moon really gives us an opportunity to notice where we might be holding on simply because letting go feels uncertain or scary.
So together we are going to ground deeply into ourselves.
Recognise what supports us.
And consciously release what we are ready to leave behind.
Take a few long deep breaths.
Before we start the visualization.
Imagine that it is evening and you are standing outside.
Beneath a clear night sky.
The air is cool against your skin and everything around you is still and quiet.
Above you.
Is the glorious hunter's moon.
Full,
Bright and golden,
Illuminating the landscape around you.
So take a moment to look up at it.
Notice its size and its light.
Notice the way everything seems clearer beneath it.
Really connect to that energy,
Really put yourself here under this light.
As you stand beneath this moon.
Begin to imagine that your body is slowly transforming.
Into a beautiful ancient tree.
Your legs become strong and steady,
Forming the base of your trunk.
Your spine lengthens upwards and your shoulders soften as branches begin to extend outwards Your arms become part of those branches,
Reaching naturally towards the night sky.
Beneath you,
Roots begin to grow from the base of your body.
Imagine them moving slowly down into the earth.
Travelling deeper and deeper through the soil beneath you.
There are strong roots beginning to spread in every direction.
Anchoring you firmly to the ground.
Feel how supported you are here.
You don't need to grip the air.
The earth is holding you Allow these roots to represent everything in your life.
That genuinely supports you.
The people who allow you to be yourself.
The places where you feel at home.
The practices that bring you back to yourself.
The experiences that have strengthened you.
All of your values,
Your wisdom,
Your resilience.
You may see particular people or places,
Maybe moments appearing.
Or you might simply feel the presence of what is being shown to you.
Just notice how much already exists beneath the surface.
How much has brought you here?
How much is holding you?
Allow your roots to travel even deeper into the earth.
With every breath.
Feel yourself becoming steadier,
Stronger and more grounded.
Feel the stability beneath you.
And remind yourself that your deepest sense of security does not have to come from everything around you remaining exactly as it is.
There is a foundation within you too.
And you have built it through everything you have experienced,
Everything you have learned.
And every time you have found your way forward.
Now bring your awareness slowly back up through the trunk of the tree.
And towards your branches.
Notice them stretching towards the night sky.
Covered in autumn leaves.
Some are still green,
Some are golden.
Some deep reds and browns.
Imagine that these leaves represent everything that you are currently carrying.
Experiences,
Emotions fears,
Memories,
Attachments,
Beliefs.
Maybe some are old versions of yourselves.
And some still belong with you but others have reached the end of their season.
As you look at these leaves.
Quietly ask yourself.
What am I ready to stop carrying?
And you don't need to search for an answer or try to decide what it should be.
Just give yourself enough space for something to come up.
Maybe resentment.
Via.
Expectations.
Maybe a relationship.
Believe.
A mistake you continue to punish yourself for.
Something that you already know is over.
Even though it's been hard to admit to yourself.
Whatever appears,
Just allow it to be there without any judgement.
Just recognise it.
Imagine that whatever you are ready to release is held within one of the leaves on your branches.
Notice that leaf,
Its colour,
Its shape.
Recognise that there may once have been a reason for you to hold on to this.
Maybe it protected you or taught you something You can honour what something has meant without continuing to carry it.
And take a deep breath in.
And as you slowly breathe out,
Imagine that first leaf loosening from its branch.
Watch it fall gently towards the earth.
And allow yourself to release something with it.
Take another deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Another leaf begins to fall.
And then another There is nothing you need to force here.
Simply allow whatever is ready to leave you to begin to go There is a gentle autumn wind beginning to move through your branches now.
Just feel it passing through you,
Through the tree.
And see more leaves begin to loosen and fall.
Anything that has become too heavy.
Just let it fall away.
And as the leaves fall,
You might silently name what you are releasing.
Or you might prefer to repeat.
I release what has ended.
I release what I have outgrown.
I'm gonna give you a few moments to really connect to this release.
And as the leaves continue to fall.
You realize that your roots remain exactly where they were.
Deep and strong.
Connected to the earth.
You are letting go and releasing,
But you are not losing yourself.
Your strength was never in holding on to every leaf,
To every experience,
To every belief.
Your strength has always been in your roots.
And with the space that you have created.
Feel the light of the hunter's moon.
Feel the energy from this light.
And feel how it can reach you more fully now.
Imagine its warm golden light touching the highest branches of your tree.
And allow it to move slowly down through every branch.
Into the trunk.
And through your entire body.
Feel it traveling all the way down into your roots.
You don't need to do anything to receive it.
Simply allow yourself to receive.
And let this light fill you with strength,
With trust and possibility.
And now,
Beneath this full moon,
Ask yourself one final question.
What do I choose to carry forward?
Allow a word,
A feeling,
Or an intention to come to you.
Maybe it is courage,
Trust,
Peace.
Freedom,
Love,
Abundance.
Confident.
Maybe it's something completely different for you.
Whatever comes,
Just imagine that intention travelling down through the trunk of your tree.
And deep into your roots Let it become part of your foundation.
Take a deep breath in and feel the earth beneath you.
Feel your roots,
Feel the open space above you.
Remind yourself that you can let go without losing yourself.
And most importantly,
You can trust yourself to choose what comes next.
Now begin slowly to return to your physical body.
Back into the room or the space that you are in.
And gently begin to move your fingers and toes.
Maybe roll your shoulders or move your head gently from side to side.
And take one final deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely.
And breathe out releasing anything else you are ready to leave behind And whenever you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Taking with you what you have chosen and leaving the rest beneath the hunter's moon.
Thank you very much for meditating with me today As always,
It has been an absolute pleasure.
To guide you.
