
A Walk in Life Guided Meditation

This guided meditation gives you a brief break from your busy mind and day for a walk into Mother Earth. Namaste.
Transcript
Make yourself comfortable now while sitting or lying down.
Relax your legs and arms and take a deep breath in.
Hold it and exhale deeply.
Now close your eyes.
Keep breathing deeply in and out through your nose for a couple more times.
Let your mind become aware of your feet.
Feel a soft white light begin to enter your feet.
Let it fill your feet with warmth and relaxation.
Relax.
Now feel a soft white light begin to move up into your ankles.
Your ankles become warm and relaxed.
Now you can feel that soft white light begin to move into your calves,
Shins and knees.
Feel the warmth fill your calves,
Shins and knees.
And breathe.
Feel the warmth of the soft white light begin to move up into your thighs and hips.
You feel the back of your hips and your thighs relaxing now.
Release all tension.
And now let the soft white light fill your abdomen and feel a ball of white light begin filling your abdomen area with warm light.
Take a deep breath into that ball of light and feel it expand.
Now let the light move up your spine and with each breath you take your lungs fill with soft white light.
Let the light move into your upper arms,
Shoulders and shoulder blades as you let your elbows and forearms relax.
Now let your mind move into your hands and feel the white light fill the palms of your hands and fingers.
Let the light enter your neck and your throat as you relax even more.
And now feel the soft white light as it fills your entire head and face.
Relax.
Now that you're completely relaxed I invite you to join me on a journey.
Imagine that you're standing on a beautiful lush path at the edge of a small forest.
The golden sunlight warms your face as you walk up to an opening in the trees.
The fresh breeze from the forest is inviting you to enter.
The path is easy to walk down and you step into the welcoming forest.
You can hear the birds calling to one another.
Their sounds are soothing and calming to you.
It is as if they are encouraging you to take a few more steps into their home.
So you do.
As you walk on you begin to hear the sounds of a soothing stream.
You can tell that the water is gentle so you walk in the direction of the sound.
As you walk you can feel and hear the leaves under your feet and the small branches and roots on the ground.
It feels good to have your feet touching Mother Earth.
And you let the soothing sound of the water call you closer.
In front of you opens a little clearing in the forest and in the middle of the clearing is a small pool with a cascading stream of crystal clear water.
The water is running down a rocky slope and feeding into the small pool.
Here in the clearing there is a beautiful stone carved bench where you can sit.
The bench is warm from the sun as its rays make their way down from the opening in the tree tops.
You walk to the bench and take a seat.
It is as if the bench were made for you to sit on.
It cradles your body and holds you steady.
And you just sit for a few minutes in silence listening to the sounds of the forest and the water.
Your eyes are closed and your heart is full of happiness.
You begin to sense the gentle presence of another being in front of you.
You open your eyes and before you is a beautiful wise owl in a tree branch about six feet from you.
She is totally at ease and so are you.
For some time you sit fascinated by this calm creature observing you as if she adores you.
She is so peaceful and secure in your presence and you are so in awe of her presence that your gaze cannot leave hers.
It seems that she has brought a message for you and across the space between the two of you she is sending you that message.
Somehow you become aware of the message and are ready to receive it from her.
Open your heart now and receive your message.
Your heart is filled with love and you are grateful for the message you received.
She sits on the branch for a few moments longer.
Then she gently closes her eyes,
Opens them for one last look at you,
Turns and flies back into the forest.
Now from your bench move softly back onto the path.
Walk slowly and calmly back to the edge of the forest where you first stepped upon the path.
You now find yourself becoming more aware of the room around you and your surroundings.
You slowly move your hands and feet and now you have returned to complete consciousness.
Your message from the forest has been embraced into your being and you will take that message into your daily life.
