Hello and welcome to Intuition Awakening.

My name is Janine,

And currently,

As I'm recording this meditation,

We are in the middle of Mercury's retrograde.

I wanted to create a soothing meditation for you to practice if you're experiencing any of the up and down emotions that Mercury's retrograde can bring.

So to begin,

Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

You are welcome to rest during this meditation.

We are going to work from our crown chakra all the way to our feet,

And you may begin to feel sleepy or very relaxed.

So please avoid this meditation while driving or during activities that need your conscious focused attention.

Beginning with a few inhales and exhales in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

Letting your body unwind,

Letting your muscles relax,

Feeling your shoulders dropping ever so gently,

Feeling your jaw loosen,

Allowing your breathing to become soft,

In and out,

Becoming slower and longer as your body starts to relax.

Mercury's retrograde is all about slowing down.

As the planet begins to appear as though it's spinning backwards in the sky,

We are called to look within,

To slow down in our life,

To have a little extra grace,

A little extra gentleness.

So begin with yourself today.

Breathing in,

Think to yourself,

What is one way I could show myself compassion today?

Let that be the theme for our meditation today.

How can I show myself compassion?

Now bring your awareness to the top of your head at your crown chakra.

This is our center for connection and support.

Feel and imagine your crown chakras energy,

Its purple color glowing brightly.

Breathing in,

Feeling that color,

This orb of purple light around your head expanding out wide,

Exhaling,

Releasing any stress,

Any tensions,

Any blocks here in the crown.

Inhaling,

Feeling your crown chakra expand wide and exhaling,

Imagining any stress and tension,

Leaving your body here.

We're going to repeat these two breaths in and out at each of the chakras now.

So moving down to your third eye in between the eyebrows,

Inhaling,

Seeing the indigo light expanding wide around you,

Exhaling,

Letting go of any self-doubt,

Of any worries,

Inhaling divine guidance,

Imagining that indigo light expanding wide,

Activating your chakra and exhaling,

Releasing any stress and tension around your eyes and the back of your neck.

Moving down into the throat chakra,

Breathing in,

Seeing this blue energy center expanding wide,

Surrounding your neck,

The back of your neck,

The top of your shoulders.

Exhaling,

Feeling the muscles gently relaxing,

Releasing any blocks with our expression and communication.

Inhaling,

Seeing that blue light becoming a glowing orb around your body,

Awakening the chakra.

Exhaling,

Allowing any beliefs that have limited us and our expressions to be released now.

Moving down into the heart chakra in the center of our chest,

Inhaling deeply here,

Feeling into our center for love and vulnerability,

Imagining that green light expanding and exhaling,

Letting any tension in the chest go.

Inhaling,

Allowing ourselves to love,

To be loved,

Seeing this green energy center expanding and awakening,

And exhaling,

Releasing the tension in our shoulders,

Allowing our arms to become loose.

On our next inhale,

Imagining the solar plexus yellow,

Shining brightly in our core,

In our abdomen,

Feeling it expand wide,

And exhaling anything that has kept us from believing in ourselves.

Inhaling,

Imagining our self-confidence growing,

Leaning into being our true authentic self.

Exhaling,

Releasing any stress or worry that we may be rejected when we are our most authentic self.

Letting that fear go.

Inhaling into our sacral chakra,

Imagining the orange glow of energy here in our pelvic bowl below our belly button.

Breathing in deeply,

Allowing that chakra to expand wide around us,

Exhaling away any tension in our lower back.

Inhaling,

Seeing the orange glow spread around us,

Infusing our aura.

Exhaling,

Releasing any stress and traumas we've stored here.

They no longer serve us,

We no longer need them.

And now down into our root chakra,

In our legs,

Our feet,

Our hips.

Inhaling,

Seeing that ruby red glowing around our legs,

Around our feet.

Exhaling,

Feeling our legs relax,

Our hips soften.

Maybe our knees and our feet gently fall a little to the side.

Inhaling,

Increasing our feelings of safety.

Exhaling any fears around stability and security in our life.

Now that we've balanced each of the chakras,

I want you to imagine your spine becoming brilliantly bright with white light.

All the way from the top of our head down to the tip of our tailbone,

A beautiful white line of energy is forming,

Indicating a perfect balance in your chakra system now.

And with this relaxed,

Soothing energy of your aligned chakras flowing through your body,

I want you to revisit the question we began with.

How can I show myself compassion today?

Mercury's retrograde asks us to slow down.

Mercury governs communication,

Business,

Travel and technology.

So thinking of these areas,

How can we embrace some compassion,

Some grace,

Maybe even giving ourselves permission to not take life so seriously for a few weeks?

When we travel,

Being kind,

Giving ourselves a break if we make a mistake,

Extending that courtesy to the staff at the airline as well.

If we have a meeting at work and technology just doesn't want to work for us,

Coming up with a new way,

A new solution and having a laugh that Mercury's retrograde is causing technology problems.

During this period,

We don't have to take things so seriously.

We are allowed to slow down.

We have space.

And we have time.

So coming back to that original question,

As you start to bring some alertness back to your body by wiggling your fingers and toes,

Taking a few deep inhales and exhales,

Waking the body back up.

Ask yourself,

How can I show myself?

More compassion today.
