Greetings and welcome.
I'm grateful you're here for this longer invitation alongside Browns Creek,
High up in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
I want to first invite us into a couple moments of mindfulness,
And then we'll move through a couple deep breaths and naturally transition into eight hours of recorded creek side sound.
And as you welcome this invitation,
And as you begin to hear the sound of the creek,
I invite you to gently close your eyes.
Bring your awareness down from your mind,
Into your heart,
And into your body.
Being aware of your shoulders,
Of your elbows,
Of your hands,
Being aware of your knees and your feet,
I invite you to release any thoughts.
Release them to the sound of the flowing water.
And now I invite you to take three deep,
Gentle breaths.
This first breath,
I invite you to focus just on breath itself,
A slow,
Gentle inhale through the nose,
And a slow,
Gentle release.
For this second breath,
I invite you to breathe in self-compassion with your inhale through the nose,
All the way in,
And slowly out.
For the third and final breath,
I invite you to go a little deeper with your inhale,
Still gentle.
After the inhale,
Hold your breath for a few seconds,
And then after holding,
Release your breath slowly out.
Try to release any lingering thoughts,
Releasing them to the sound of the flowing water.
You will get back to them later if you are meant to.
Deeply in,
Hold for a few seconds,
And release slowly and gently.
Take a deep and gentle breath to close this invitation,
All the way in,
And slowly out.
